Following my contact with the club on this matter, I am pleased to say that they have returned a response. As promised, their response reads as follows: “ We are working to see if we accommodate more fans but have to work within the guidelines for Covid 19. We are hopeful of releasing more slots in the next couple of days or so” .
On this basis, I’d assume they’ll simply extend the dates available for booking. I hope this comes as reassurance to those who (like me) missed out.

Hopefully all will get an opportunity to say farewell. Fair play yo BFC for trying to sort this out.

I agree. It's trying to plan against a constantly moving background in terms of government advice.
What was the change in government advice between:

31st July - you can’t come to GP in person
AND
11th August - actually you can come in person?

Genuine question because as far as I can see there has been no material change that should have lead to such a drastic 180 in the clubs position.

Re the single sentence you have latched onto which, to some, might support your alleged 31st June position. I believe you have taken it out of context and what it meant (in context) was "whilst we are not all able to be here in person for this event"

Therefore, I am unconvinced that there has been "a drastic 180 in the clubs position".

Just sent to club:

Hi,
I have been a season ticket holder for many years. I am fully paid up for next season and yet have received no invitation to visit GP for a last time. I sent an email to you yesterday noting this but have still received nothing and see that everything has been booked up anyway. I also understand that the booking app was circulated on social media and bookings could be made with no proof of identity so 'my' place has possibly been taken by someone whose commitment to the club over the years has been a lot less than mine.
Recently, I've been really happy with how BFC has been handling things - seats for new stadium for example. But this has been a dog's dinner. My grandfather was a regular from the 1930s, my mother (now 91) used to go along too. I have been a supporter for donkey's years and my adult sons are also attendees when they are in London. I deserved a chance to pay my respects to GP (even if I might have decided not to take it up because it wouldn't be the same as match day). And I certainly deserved a reply to my previous email.

Berkshire, Lboro was my uni!
None of the 8 of us received emails...I know they have the correct email addresses.
Basic data management.
I’m not angry, just disappointed.
Which is worse.

OH NO. What will happen now?
You must be prescient. What happened was that a number of season ticket holders did not receive the email notifying them of the opportunity to book a place, some were informed too late to get an opportunity and the scheme does not appear to require proof that the applicant is a season ticket holder. So rather than gloss over what is an emotional issue for many supporters - the ending of the good, bad and often indifferent times spent at Griffin Park apart from the expectation and thrill when you sat down in three or stood in two of the stands, accept that the club's failure to follow through on the initiative fairly and on a level playing field is worthy of comment.

I concur. I’ll be surprised if the club isn’t attempting to improve on what’s been offered...

Often govt advice changes in guidance which is published only within relevant industries. For example, outdoor fitness groups (and other recreational activity) can mix in groups of 30 outdoors opposed to just 6 ordinarily. I would image BFC liased with the council and local authority to seek whether they may get an exception to hold such an event. Local authories now have been granted greater powers by the Heath secretary to use their discretion in making regional decisions. So for those proclaiming BFC have “180’d” or “u-turned” are ilinformed in this instance.

Agrees Nathan, and apologies but I removed the post that you are no doubt referring too as he was getting very, very tedious.

I would imagine because contracts have already been signed as to when ownership is passed on and they will have their own timetables to follow.

I agree with WP - it does appear that that the tours are very much last minute bolt-ons which have been done to try and appease the fans, but were planned after all the handover legalities were completed.
I was removed off forecourt on a Sunday morning 26th July. Had gate shut on me. Doing no harm. Just with my thoughts.
I am trying hard to go with flow but it feels very distant from so many things that were born in me. The guy that did the ground tours, lifelong supporter and worked on players gate too has not been approached to impart his knowledge. He just got his p45. Used to walk over KewBridge with his dad and rattle in the 50's.

I was annoyed that I hadn't received an email, and then upset that I had missed out on one last chance to see GP, but now I'm not that bothered if half the stadium is going to be missing.

Any idea if the banners will be removed from the Paddock in advance of next week? I was hoping to sit in my seat a last time (if it’s there)

****. The email went into my junk folder and I completely missed it :(

I'd planned for the Barnsley game to be my son's first visit to GP. Can't believe I didn't see this...

I recommend all those that didn't get a booking to check their email today. Possibly around 10am

Does anybody ITK know if it is a formalise tour or whether you can just sit in the stands and just let the memories flood back.
No criticism of BFC but there is not that much to see. Maybe because I have done a tour a few times.

I am using trackaseat.com - entered your seat number and it says it's currently at the Emirates Stadium.

Just got an email. More places being released this pm.
The email is unclear as to whether if these are on the original dates or on additional dates as some of us may have to book annual leave in order to participate.

I wasn’t included in the first wave of emails, and if I’m not included in the next wave then it will be the end of Griffin Park for me but not the end of the world. I think the club is genuinely trying to do it’s best; they might not always get it right for everyone but they do get 10/10 from me for effort. I am just grateful that I was at the last ever fan filled game at Griffin Park. With hindsight that 5-0 victory against SW seems all the more sweeter.

No email here either despite me emailing the club yesterday to say I didn't receive the first one.

Hooray. Not a straightforward process. Got there eventually. Slots seemed to be disappearing mid booking!
