I always thought that the purpose of a forum was to promote discussion, banter, witty exchanges, state opinions etc.
If some people find them “boring“, I am sure that they are more than capable of scrolling on as I do. Why then, do we need the “post police” to delete a perfectly sensible discussion between two grown men because it’s “boring“.

The thread last night about Team selection vs Man City. Mods decided my debate with Hadleigh Bee was boring and so a handful of posts deleted. I care that much but this site is a sad imitation of what it used to be.
Who are the mods to decide it’s boring? Offensive I get, trolling I get but two blokes with opposite views on a chat site discussing team selection without swearing or offending each other ?

On the topic of boring, please have a look at a list of posters who are well known to be protected by the owner and they are what I would call boring, victims who invite criticism with sweeping statements bordering on bullying themselves and then claim to be the persecuted, that is boring !!

Pardon me but there’s some sweeping statements by you here. Posts are removed for being off topic, not boring. It’s Banana’s ball, and his rules. If people are that annoyed they can leave.

The above normally takes about 6 paragraphs and latched onto as the voice of reason.
You can stick that in your thing and smoke it.

I do think there needs to be a "reimagined history" detector, so that posts on a current topic that take a turn to the past can be returned swiftly to the present or future.

Could be you liked lots of posts and lots of people liked yours, that never seems to be well received. Trick is to write extremely long posts with no real point or ramble on about keyboard warriors making it tough for victims to post without fear of repercussions and you should be fine

My recommendation would be to split it into short paragraphs.

This can render even the most tedious of ramblings more or less palatable.
