When I was in the sixth form we were taken on a tour of the Sanderson wallpaper factory in Greenford as part of the school's career development programme. Long demolished, Westway Cross shopping centre was built on the site and I was there today buying dog biscuits in Pet Smart. Coincidence or what? Surprisingly, I never considered a career in wallpaper. Was I wrong?

You can't be that old, WOB, since the original Sandersons factory was in Chiswick.

One of their earliest buildings still survives, the listed Voysey House (1902):

That is a great song. I still own a 45 with that on the B side and the A side is Right Said Fred. It was bought for me in the newsagents roughly opposite where Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre is now.
