Thanks. Getting there. Hope to be at the Villa game. Tripped over some brick retainers holding up temporary fencing around a local house development when taking the dogs for a walk on Christmas Eve evening. Split my head and hand open and badly bruised an eye socke, wrist and hip. Spent from 10ish Christmas Eve evening to 4.45 ish Christmas Day morning in A&E at Hillingdon Hospital. Have the stitches due out tomorrow morning. Just hope I can avoid Covid in the hospital environment!
Sorry to read this. Hope your feeling well enough to see the Villa game and some late Christmas cheer.

We will be lower mid at worst
With a full strength side defo👍….with the sides we’ve had out in the last few games and that’s not anyone’s fault, will go to the wire….We must have a full strength team by start of March👍🤞

Biggest league crowd since Easter 1972. The new permanent segregation fences put in recently have released around 50-60 extra seats for sale.

The crowd has been going up in increments since the Arsenal game. What’s allowing these increases (do we have to prove safety etc) and will this continue until we get to 17,500?

you'd expect all the away fans to be the hardcore who are able to get tickets through years of season tickets/membership etc. but their fans were the worst (in terms of noise anyhow) support we've had visit all season. guess it just gets a bit boring watching them pass horizontally most of the game - while they are an incredible football team, against teams who will organise and defend well, it is really quite a dull watch a lot of the time.

Where were you sitting? I was in the East Stand and they were pretty vocal throughout most of the game. The only time they went really quiet was on about 75 minutes or so when it seemed they like many of us thought we might just nick something at the end.

.....as a fully fledged member of the E115 defence division....I agree.... however....notes from last nights aways conclude....they spent more time 'grassing' up some of our lot....than they did singing.....I had a little discussion with senior steward and their Manc 'kens' regarding this matter....and to their credit....they then intervened and had a word with city nonces.

Think I heard MB chooses 1/2 time sounds? was wondering if the Stone Roses, 'she bangs the drums' , was a bit of a wind up to City?

I’d say there were one of the best (with Arsenal comfortably the worst) although the bar really hasn’t been set very high. Only Chelsea last week have been genuinely impressive (and they were average for the league game).

Very good support from Chelsea last week. Thought the most disappointing were Liverpool. Bang average at best.

As Banana pointed out I know nothing about football but am of the firm belief we are in a relegation battle starting Sunday.
Course we are…if Newcastle/Leeds pick up a couple of wins and we don’t then it’s obvious ? The sooner we have that mentality the sooner we can get enough points to be safe👍

Got the disagree here, Liverpool sang throughout and I was in the East Stand game that night. I thought Norwich were excellent value. By far the biggest disappointment were Everton. Literally heard nothing from them all game.

Liverpool we’re very loud but only right after they scored so that doesn’t count. Like you I expected better

its weird as where we sit in N126 we dont hear a peep from any away fans, sound doesnt travel well down that side of the ground.

Sat in the Dug Out for Oldham and their 500 odd fans were the loudest ive heard.

I don't care who else gets relegated. Perm 3 from 6. But we won't. True fact.
Fine and a good backtrack, I trust you’re right, I believe we should be ok, however that is with a few ifs and buts. If we get Ajer back soon, add some pace and width and we have Rico, Norgaard, Toney and Bryan available

You must have heard them slagging their own players off 😉

Comedy gold ! Also heard some of their fans singing ‘he is just a fat Spanish waiter’ after the game! Why bother travelling away if you don’t sing and just slag the manager and the players!

Is the 17009 the highest to date? Clearer not the highest in actual people in the stadium though.

17k plus home crowd to watch the Bees, never thought I would see that again after the last one all those years ago against Liverpool

We need to get that group of players back in the squad asap. Ajer has been a huge loss.

Totally, not only for the presence, defensive ability and pace bringing the ball out but the positive impact he had on Sergi playing in front of him.

Agree. You can see what influence he has on others as well. Pontus Pinnock and Ajer was a formidable trio.

On music I'm sure I heard The Flying Burrito Brothers - Sin City. Great song and I would suggest a rarity at football grounds
That fits the MB bill 4 sure, not heard that b4. Will have a good listen to future 1/2 time tracks, something about Birmingham probable for Sunday?

Thanks for the reference. I love Country and I agree it must be a rarity at football grounds. I didn't recognise it and tried to Shazam it while walking back to the lounge but stupidly carried on walking and missed it ...

Proud.
Fair play to each player. We competed with one of the best teams in the world and were unlucky not to have a deserved draw.

The performance has heightened my confidence for the villa game.

Although I believe we will be fine this season once we get a bulk of our players back, losing to a single goal is a massive positive to our goal difference.

I may be wrong, but over the years I have felt we have tended to improve against the better teams and do worse against the poorer sides. I don't know where that places us regarding the result tomorrow. But after a great display against City and a not so good against BHA, I fully expect us not to be that good over 90 minutes. This is because of those missing and the need to give everything in a hope of not.losing. I think we will win though.

Yes in Susan. And I read on here somewhere 8.15pm was the latest ever scheduled kick off of an English match. Maybe kick off at 9pm and we’d get 25,000.
