Once again, can’t really fault the effort of the players, but hard to see where our next win will come.
Getting punished on every error we make, and not scoring enough goals.
The stoppages obviously didn’t help.

Echo's of the 1992 season where it was our first season in Div 2(now the Championship) and we did well up to Christmas then fell apart and were relegated on the final day. I dearly pray we can bolster the squad with quality and have a rethink on formation.

Hugely unlucky today IMO. Sure, there were things we might have done differently but if anyone doesn't think we were massively disrupted by the clash of heads and drone they are deluded!

Poor game to lose. It won't define our season, BUT...
-We are shipping goals for fun - 12 in last 4 games. Except it's not much fun.
-confidence is draining.
-We have Man C (A) and Arsenal (A) in the next 3 league games - that's going to do our goal difference no good at all.
What WILL define our season I think is the next 6 games. The other 4 teams we play are Palace , Newcastle, Norwich & Burnley. 3 of those games are at HOME.
Although none are 'must win,' if we don't at least get 6 points from those 4 games, we are in serious trouble. We simply HAVE top beat those teams below us from now on, to avoid the gap closing. If we don't, I think the levels of confidence will drop further and panic sets in.
Can we PLEASE drop conceding stupid goals and set up a midfield that doesn't get passed by in practically every game.

We need a natural left wing back. Canos tries so hard but it isn’t working.
Shandon struggling to make a mark at this level.

Ah well not good enough on the day. Annoying after we got the goal back as well but their second was after a spell of us playing hot potato with the ball in midfield and some terrible clearances. At times I think we need to close the ball down on the edge of our box with more urgency. When we did we get the ball down and pass we looked good at times but overall a bit too frantic. Ultimately understandable due to the enforced changes after 20 mins or so. The break will do us good to recharge and then pick up the last vital points we need to stay up. Some massive games ahead. This squad needs some 1st team bodies. Feels like we’re running on empty. Easy to score against and lacking creativity. We can talk about being unlucky but we’ve not got the quality. Our better players are even running in to and head butting each other FFS!

15 games left. We could need 15 points to stay up. That's a difficult ask. And every team below us has games in hand.
I can't help feeling that the replacement of Fernandez by Lössl was a mistake. Lössl may well be a competent goalkeeper. But in the Premier League it is outstanding keepers that are the norm, as we have discovered in games against Chelsea and the like. Surely Fernandez would have done better at saving at least a couple of the many goals we have conceded in recent weeks. I'm thinking in particular of the Wolves second goal.

Really? I thought we looked full of confidence at the start of the game, the same way we did at the start of the Man U game. Confidence will only really drain if the crowd turns. Let's hope people keep their nerve and it doesn't!

-Confident teams don't keep going behind in games.
-Confident teams take the game to the opposition. Man U first half is the exception to the rule.
-And confident teams don't concede goals at an alarming rate.
Sorry - but I expected better after that Man U first half. We can blame the clash in the first half if we want, but having got on level terms again, we have to do better.

Don't think Lossl has made any mistakes of note thus far. Fernandez made many. Don't understand how Lossl is the problem when we can't keep the ball, can't feed our strikers and can't defend.
As previously mentioned, we need some new bodies in before our next league game to freshen up the squad, too many square pegs in round holes and not enough experience. In my opinion 4 in are needed, WBs x2, AMF and Forward, not sure this will happen though.

Make no mistake. Without the clash of heads we would have won that game . We were completely dominating. It’s when the first 11 can’t be on the pitch we struggle.
