A deserved win in the end for sure. And also an interesting, entertaining game, the first we’ve been involved in for a little while. To give the devil his due, Warburton’s QPR certainly played their part in that.

The first half wasn’t convincing from a tactical point of view. The midfield battle was being lost. Plus, Dalsgaard wasn’t right. They were the better side because of this. But Henrik aside, the players themselves were sharp and confident - even Bryan was taking on his man with some success. QPR were giving our key men space to play, we just needed to find the right tactics to get the best from them.

The second half system change was brave. Three at the back was nothing more than a failed experiment before tonight. But it worked perfectly. It gave Henry the ability to get forward without risking Samuel’s devastating breaks, and Sorensen looked after him brilliantly (to the point he ended up switching wings). It also allowed us to replace Henrik with another midfielder and wrestle back control of the ball. Kudos to Frank.

The win ought to have been more convincing, but we got the job done. Late in the game and after bringing on Canos we started to give away cheap free-kicks which could have cost us, but the back three was solid for the entire last 45, so comfortable in the the end.

To comment on QPR, unsurprisingly they remind me of Brentford 2-3 years back. Very pleasing on the eye, lots to like, but you can see how they will just leak goals. Their midfielders were scared of Janelt, their wing backs were a defensive liability, and our set piece goal reflects badly on their organisation.

janelt is some player! as has been said on here before be interesting to see him and Christian play together. May allow Christian to play slightly more offensive which will help the whole team play higher up the pitch and cause the opposition some tactical challenges.

Man, I hate playing this lot. Have to grudgingly admit they're quite a threat going forward and played some v good stuff first half. Thought we soaked up their pressure well early on and then started to get on the ball and make things happen, Mbeumo and Marcondes were supporting Toney well and we were getting into some good positions. Lovely move to put us ahead and a great finish from Janelt. The equaliser was massively frustrating, not least because EM should have scored after doing brilliantly to intercept a clearance from their keeper, but also because at that point we were looking pretty comfortable. However, both Fosu and Henry got caught upfield after a poor cross from Fosu and Janelt didn't handle BOS at all well, his superb cross being turned in by the only QPR player in the box with 3 bees defenders watching on. After that it was a bit end to end til half time though QPR finished on the ascendency and Mads should well have been sent off..

2nd half what looked like bizarre subs from Frank. 3 at the back with Marcondes right wing back?? JDS off (precautionary again I hope?) and Mads staying on despite his yellow card and struggles to keep up with BOS... early signs were not at all good. We looked all over the shop but slowly we came to terms with it. Marcondes was finding a lot of space wide and Mbeumo was looking back to his old self, a great move ended up with Toney slotting in beautifully but it was rather harshly disallowed for offside. Goal finally came after a peach of a free kick from Marcondes found Toney to glance in his twelfth of the season, Forss had a couple of chances to increase the lead and Ghoddos shot high and wide when well placed after more excellent work from Toney. We gave away a few free kicks at the death when we should have seen it out easily (what with QPR down to 10) but coped fairly comfortably with what QPR had to offer..

A really good result this. Again we haven't really hit the heights going forward but there was some much more positive signs today. Mbeumo had a v good game, looking far more positive, as did Marcondes. Canos had a decent cameo at the end, almost setting up Forss for the third and we coped well without JDS in the second half for the second game running. MOM award shared by Toney and Rico for me, absolutely outstanding. Rico had BOS in his pocket, it's just a shame that he was left up the field for their goal. I felt despite the goal that it wasn't Janelt's best game for us. He over-committed too many times in midfield and left us exposed and could have done a lot better with their goal, having said that he scored a hell of a goal and stood up second half well. Dalsgaard was a bit out of sorts and Ghoddos still looks like he's about to have a heart attack but otherwise everyone played a part. Very satisfying result and we're starting to get on a bit of a run..... You BEES!!!

A great win that we deserved over the 90 minutes. Toney and Henry the standout players for me, but I think it was the changes at half time especially Pontus coming on that made the difference. A game of fine margins we should probably have been down to 10 men, but then had a goal incorrectly disallowed, it could have gone either way. Sometimes you get the rub of green sometimes not, but think we deserved it in the end.

It was a red card...I would have given a red to Sorensen if I was the ref. I do understand their frustrations there but that said you have to deal with it when it's not given. It was a good performance by QPR, much better than the 'bending over for us' performances they've had at Griffin Park the last couple of years.

Franks' half time changes were spot on, which is good to see! I'm not a massive fan of the three at the back but it just made us a lot more solid and nullified their threat. It's good when decisions which seem questionable work out like that did! Should hopefully put a bit more faith in him amongst some...

We played much better in the second half, but we're still slow and a bit...boring. We're still adjusting as this team, and hopefully we can start to start bossing the attack, rather than just keeping the goals against low and hoping that Toney scores.

A good win. A hard fought win.

Credit TF, we were second best first half today. He made a strange couple of subs, but he knew what he was doing and second half we were far better. Well done TF.
In the end wasn’t a strange couple of subs! Got it spot on after we survived first five to seven minutes as the side settled down into new formation.

It was an entertaining game with both sides playing attacking football. QPR were better than I expected but you can see why they leak goals. We had the chances to make it more comfortable with EM, Forss and Ghoddos all could have done better. If we are going to go up we need to take them.

No real quibbles from me though as to get a result like that to continue our good form in this strangest of seasons bodes well. Against that lot all we ask that the team puts their heart and soul into the game and they did just that. However we beat QPR makes a great day for me.

A lot of good performances tonight but full marks to TF and his coaches for making the tactical switches and subs that worked.

Much more controlled second half. Steadily improving and still not in top gear yet

I'm not a Thomas critic but it seemed clear to me that the 2 subs at half time were enforced and not a result of cunning genius.

I don't think so mate. He said that Josh wasn't playing well. HD didn't have a bad first half but must be knackered.
I thought what the F was he doing with the subs but it changed the game. Very brave. He would have got slaughtered if we had lost so credit where credit is due.

First half we were sh*te and they were good going forward.

We had a plan b and played them off the park second half and deserved the win.

“warbs” had no plan b and couldn’t respond but will learn from it and go again.

He can moan about the red card all he likes but they could have had 4-5 other yellows as well.

We were lucky with the red card first half and they were lucky with the Toney offside goal.

Better team won,

Watching Dalsgaard running after Dykes for their goal something definitely wasn't right whether it be an injury or exhaustion.

He just said in his interview on Sky that Kane was only sent off because our bench screamed the loudest 😂
And he wasn’t in the lino and 4th officials face screaming during the mads incident was he.
He is just a poor loser, he never blamed the ref when he was here but since he has left he is always blaming others. Maybe it is a MB and club thing to do a clough with the refs.

Exactly. That was clear over ninety minutes. Sometimes you get decisions and sometimes you don't but we were under par and they were still comfortably second best.

TF surprisingly didn't have Pontus in his starting lineup. When he came on we had a leader at the back and could help young Sorenson through a tricky match as QPR's strength is their players behind thwe striker and they were extremely sharp first half. The formation change also helped. But what got me was TF changes freshened up the team and we were so much fitter flying into everything even in the 95th minute, best exemplified by Janelt charging block in the 92nd. Make no mistake this is the best QPR team for many years so to get a win against them is great result. In Henry and Toney we have 2 of the top players in the league. In Janelt we have amazing young talent with a powerful engine, strength and tactical nous.

Ground that out due to excellent defensive performance. Only exception was their goal where Dalsgaard was ball watching naughty boy.QPR are a decent side and will be in the top half. We badly need to sort the wide attackers out. Fosu was ok but not the answer. We need Ghoddos to do his thing
MOM either Toney or Henry

Well that was an entertaining game. And it pains me to say it but that was the best ive seen QPR play in years. Their problem is they cant defend and created little. Their play in midfield was nice on the eye but was it down to us not engaging and getting a grip in the middle?

We had a poor first half and it was very frustrating to watch. Toney was screaming at his team mates to get higher up the pitch and the few moments we did we took hold of the game. Ive been saying it all season that we are sitting too deep and allowing other teams to dictate the play. I dont like it and its not easy on the eye because when we win the ball we tend to knock it around the back four then go long. We have little outlet in the midfield atm which is a worry.

But enough of the negativity. The team dug in and we got the job done. EM put a shift in and linked the play well. MBS was awesome at the back........... But Rico and Toney were a level above. Toney still isnt involved enough for my liking as i think there is a class footballer in there when he gets it to feet instead of his head. Our wide men and centre mid need to get closer and get our confident one touch football going again.

Always a joy to beat those ****s and even better seeing that snake MW crying after and moaning about everything. He really has changed his tune. I wonder if thats the pressure he feels from their board in comparison to the Brilliance of MB and co who look at the bigger picture.

Up to 4th and we arent even up and running yet. Happy days West London is ours.

Have been critical of both EM and MJ of late but thought both, and especially the former, were very good tonight.

Toney was astonishing - a real talismanic leader as well as a goalscorer - and Rico was outstanding against a very dangerous player
