Brentford B will be in action at Griffin Park on Tuesday 10 March in a 7.30pm kick-off against a Rangers XI.

The young Bees, who are in Cyprus this week and beat Pafos FC 6-0 on Monday afternoon, return to England to take on their Scottish opponents for their first match at Griffin Park since October.

Brentford B actually played against Rangers back in December last year when Neil MacFarlane’s side travelled to Glasgow to take on a strong side at The Hummel Training Centre, and despite some positive periods in the game, the home side were at their clinical best to win the game 4-0.

Entry to supporters is free of charge and offers fans the chance to watch the next crop of youngsters continue their development.

Very disappointing. I thought we had a Motz pitch to mitigate against this type of thing. I wonder if the recent weather has played a material part in this.

Tweet from the club said they wanted to keep the GP pitch in it's best condition for the remainder of the season.

Yes I know. So they must feel that it has deteriorated or is at material risk of doing so if this match is played on it.

Maybe they are worried that the Rangers fans might do a Celtic and take some souvenirs home with them.

.....i conceed there has been the odd blemish over the years......ah well.....the marauding ibrox hoards will no doubt ransack the Mets ground instead.....how ironic.

On a positive note, both the ham and cheese rolls at Imber Court are always very fresh and very tasty.

:eek:They only have two? Obviously not expecting many to make the trip south from GP. Or police cutbacks? ;)

Odd blemish?
I am sure the good people of Esher will be ok on Tuesday night.
It's the day time I would wager will be a nightmare.

The food has always been good whenever I've been there.

Not seen a B Team game before but quite local to me so might give it a go. Maybe the Big Man might make an appearance?

Watching on Youtube... Not a bad crowd. Quite a few Rangers flags around the ground

Good performance against a tough rangers side with a sprinkling of first teamers. Halil looked good but we’ve got some cracking youngsters in there. Shepherd was excellent in goal. Kane O Connor looks v composed at the back. Tsaroulla has real quality going forward. Oksanen and Read were excellent in midfield too. Then you’ve got the likes of Mogensen and brissett. Great stuff

Watched it on You Tube and thought we did well against a strong side on what looked quite a rough pitch ( by our standards). As You Tube matches are, the picture was a bit fuzzy and the camera angle wasn't great so not sure who everyone was.

Fosu took his goal well and number 14 looked quite impressive.

A really enjoyable game in testing conditions. Non league ground, non league crowd but the football on display was much better than non league. Sheppard in goal was superb, some other great performances but I really enjoyed Paris Maghoma when he came on. Looks to have a real swagger. I stood behind the dug out and was impressed with Neil and Sam. Always encouraging, pass and keep the ball moving. They obviously have a great bond with the players too
