Depends who the triallists are?

Many will be young players in the UK’s non-league system who have caught the eye, over the last 6 months, imo. Got to get in before the vultures come flying down for their mouthful.

That wind ! Carre played a slightly overhit pass and it whistled down the pitch like a Jos Buttler cover drive

He won't make it here, but I'm quietly impressed with how he's come on this season, as a bit of a niggly little bastard in midfield. He even squared up to a FGR player a good deal taller than him.

How strong is the FGR lineup do we know? I can't find any info on their team.

Not quite sure what this recent playing Mogensen on the left wing thing is, unless it's to give him some experience coming in from wide, in preparation for some possible upcoming first team substitute cameos.

I think it is a mechanism to be able to play both Elvis and him on the same pitch; if Elvis goes off Mogensen will go more down the middle.

Oh yeah, for sure, given having two forwards up front is something adamantly avoided at Brentford. Strange Gilbert isn't playing (must be in first team training), but would've thought he'd benefit from a run out at left wing.

Perhaps they are going to do a reverse Ollie Watkins:)

Difficult conditions but I thought we dominated most of the game and a good result ...Lovely non league ground at Melksham Town but the pitch was extremely bumpy and with the high wind it showed who had the ability to control the ball.

good workout. Bit of a 'transitional' team with no Bidstrup, Maghoma, Gilbert, Hockenhull, O'Connor, Haygarth, Stevens, Crama or even Hercules. Not sure if some are injured or all just training with the first team but it showed in the first half. Looked much better second half and was impressed with Trevitt. Gets forward and picks out a good pass, two assists today. He can score too. Robb looked v comfortable at CB second half and Brook really looks like a good player, about time he got his first goal for us. Not convinced by Mogensen on the wing but guessing he's just gaining fitness after being out so long. Would expect given the first team are playing Friday night we'll see a more recognisable B team on Saturday v Ebbsfleet..

No first half. From what I could work out he was a trials. Very tall man.

Oh yes, gangly kid.. didn't catch all of the first half.. What stood out? I thought the kid in the second half looked v comfortable on the ball (much more so than Koutsimouka!)

Yes very tall lad also appear very strong and not afraid to run with the ball, and always looking for forward passes. When he made a mistake/things did not go as planned he never panicked, and usually came away with the ball. I do wonder how long he is on trail for, always frustrating not knowing the background, but the that is the way with Trialists.

It's all a bit of a mystery at the moment, the B team! Lot of players missing, either injured or training with the first team or perhaps looking for other clubs, who knows??
