Video quality was great, looked really nice on the TV. No commentary though, so hopefully that is synced up with the Bees Player in the future.

The video here in a foreign country (obviously) was definitely not 4K nor HD. However I didn't get any issues with the video except for a few smalls jerks in the last 10-15 minutes.

Was not good could only get audio on the tablet and a black screen with some sketch colours and crowd noise every now and then on the phone.

A poster paused the match play and synched it with the Bees commentary on their phone. They said it worked ok. But you will be about 30 seconds behind.....just a thought. :)

I had the video on, with commentary in a separate tab. Had to pause the commentary for a few seconds to allow the video (which was a few seconds behind) to catch up, but all worked fine.

Nice idea, will give it a try on the next match.

worked great for me - video wasn't flawless but didn't have the same problems as some mentioned here, so i think it's a local connection issue (my wifi) rather than them.

will try the audio commentary / pause trick in future.

sad to see there were so many issues - all very avoidable with a bit of effort. awful customer service from them.

The commentary was a few seconds ahead of the video. I paused Markybee for a few seconds and had them virtually in-sync with Markybee about 0.5 to 1.0 seconds in front, which was useful when my attention wandered. It also highlighted how many times I took issue with Markybee's view :)

I didn't have any issues with the video except it was clearly NOT HD as advertised. The video stream was up 10 mins before kick-off.

The only issue I had is that the iFollow service keeps asking for money even if you are already registered. I had to check my card statement to ensure that the money was taken last week!

For the cost I am expecting something at least as good as YouTube streaming or even last week's Facebook live. The frustrating thing is that I get the impression that if the club (Themepark in particular) was running things we would have a first class service. Nonsense not to have commentary on the pictures. How are ex-pat fans meant to quickly identify players on their own team, let alone the opposition. Given we are subscribing to watch Brentford, the excellent Markybee commentaries are what we are after. This really should have been sorted before launch date. All a bit tinpot so far!

The pictures are a video feed provided by the camera man, which as the yellow fruit says, kick in around ten minutes beforehand. All the rights holders have access to this footage via satellite.

To drive subscriptions and make it more professional, they will need to synch the commentary so a seperate solution for the handful of blind supporters at GP will need to be found.

However, playing about with the audio commentary should get you the desired result. It's not a fantastic service, but it's a start.

I wonder when the full replay will be available? Couldn't watch it live yesterday, so you can imagine my disappointment when trying to find where the replay is I stumbled upon the final result. As you can see, my first experience with Ifollow is not so great. If I am not able to watch the game when I want, then why pay for this?

I believe there is a contractual time restriction on when the full match replay can be seen; also, it takes Themepark time to synchronise the commentary.

Stupid question - sorry. The live video coverage is I assume ONLY for non-UK subscribers. All we UK based folk can get (assuming it works) is audio?

Yes that's correct NLB. You can only get video as a non-UK based subscriber.

not sure why you wouldn't be able to log in (apart from user incompetence), but the vibe miss wouldn't be available early for you anyway because...

the full match replays aren't available until later. i think it's at least 24 hours after the game - but i can't find the text now.

if you don't want to pay for it, don't. if noone pays for it, they'll get the message. however, it hits the spot for me, so...

i have shared this thread via twitter to @iFBrentford - but i can't imagine they'll care much :(

It works a lot better for me from my phone (on the app) then on my actual laptop. On my laptop it kept cutting out every few minutes.

One of thing you can do if you have a decent enough mobile phone and TV is that you can mirror your phone onto your TV through blue tooth. That way you can watch it on the big screen

I have paid £45 for this thing and would be content with just the commentary. I do not currently have an iPhone and have been unable to download the App for Android to my desktop. Is this because my computer's operating system is Vista? Does anyone have any ideas other than a one-way trip to Switzerland?

Same here -- although I kept both on, just in case one stopped working. There is a ~10 seconds delay with mobile devices, though.

I am not the least bit techie, but I do know that Android is completely different from Microsoft Windows Vista, and you can't download Apps to the latter. In theory, you should be able to access ifollow from your desktop, but it seems that you are not the only one having problems.

I used it for the first time yesterday, on the phone (android) Worked fine, the commentary dropped out a couple of times but still caught enough of the match to hear .... Vibe's miss! it would have been easier to score than miss from that position" New season same old Lasse :jester:

Vista might well be the problem - i'm not sure really. i would probably suggest using your computer to go to the brentford website, click ifollow and log in, and then in the bottom-right corner there should be a speech bubble thing - click that for "Live Chat" help - they are a bit thick but hopefully you'll be able to work it out with them...

or, just wait til Tuesday - again on your computer, go to BFC site, ifollow, login - then click on Fixtures at the top and go to the "Match Centre" for the Wimbledon game. one of the first options should be listen now, and hopefully it works :)

Presumably you can get a decent web browser that is still supported on Vista (although I think Opera is the only one), plus is supported by iFollow, and access it through that; you don't need an App and I'd put money on no-one developing an App for Vista.

As a matter of interest, where is Bees Player? I haven't cancelled my monthly standing order and assume that I'm still paying for it but can't find a link to it on the official site.

I eventually managed to watch it from Brazil, paying a fiver for just this game. I never thought I'd say this but I missed the commentary. The crowd sounds were a few seconds behind the action which made it a strange experience.

I'll give it another go for the Forest game but I think I might actually prefer just listening to MarkyB's commentary.

it looks like you could open another tab and play the commentary there - work out which one is ahead, and pause it to let the other one catch up - it seemed to work well for a couple of people on here...

in any case, the Forest game won't be on iFollow, as it's the EFL "game of the day" so it'll be shown live on TV (even if you can't get watch it locally, the game will be blacked out :( )

Ah didn't know that.

No problem. There should be a stream with commentary. Saves me a fiver.

I cannot be bothered with all the hassle, so I've decided to end my interest here and now. Will keep up via SSN, local radio, R5 live, match day threads etc., and catch interviews when available on OS, youtube etc. Massive saving of 4.50 per month but will mainly lead to lowered blood pressure hopefully.

I'm not going to read through all this but how can I listen to the live match commentary like on beesplayer. I still pay my monthly subscription and have not changed any details. Sometimes I listen via iPhone, iPad, pic. Please sdvise. Not fussed about any of the other functions.

1. Have you logged into iFollow? You may need to reset your password, sending them an email, so try that from the brentfordfc.com web page using a browser first.
2. You will remain logged in unless you log out yourself; that's different and you can access from the iFollow tab.
3. On your iOS device, go to the App Store and search for Brentford FC Official and install the App. Log in using the email/password you've tested.
4. When you want commentary, go to the Fixtures, select the match and you can see a link to iFollow.
5. Away you go.

I've downloaded the Brentford FC Official App onto the Desktop of my MacBook Air and it appears to be designed for iPhone or iPad, accessible via iTunes. Where's the App for a Mac laptop?
