The picture quality is REALLY poor.
I’m getting an excellent quality on my iPad.

Perhaps I could run a sideline in live streaming...

I'm watching on a 42" screen. I can with certainty that it's not HD as promised. It's like watching an old VHS tape.

The live video still does not work on my android devices. Audio only. Bit poor that. Guess I'll just need to listen today.
Live video crashed my Android tablet but my Android TV box gives a good picture.

My laptops (Windows and Linux) produce such a slow frame rate that it can't be called video at all.

Re-started my video and it's much better...
Yep no problems this end, (except for the Woods rush of blood to the head), very clear picture.

I've found it is majorly dependent on the quality of the internet. I go to this local bar where the internet is blazing fast and never have a problem.

Themepark, a request from the PNE game please. Can you produce for us a clip of the kick off at 1 - 1 where hugill runs into Nico, and a clip of both of the kick offs at 2 - 2 (had to be retaken). I think we can then clearly see that at 2 -2 hugill runs into Sawyers the same way he ran into Nico. After it is taken again, he again runs into Sawyers, this time sawyers is ready and greets him with the elbow.

At least that is how I saw it / remember it. It would be good to see if a) my memory is correct and b) if so, provide clear evidence that this is a pattern of behavior by hugill and not a so called accident.

Thanks

I'm beginning to get used to watching without commentary, even though I find it extraordinary that in 2017 it is apparently not possible to provide this. But it's still annoying that the sound that accompanies the video stream is out of sync with the video, lagging by about 4 seconds, I think. It suggests that iFollow are able to add a separate sound track to the video, as the lagging means that they can't be coming from the same source. What's the best way to put pressure on iFollow to sort this issue out?

It's a little bit silly isn't it. I'm putting this down to teething problems and i'm hoping that next season's service will be double the quality. I've got to be honest, it's great being able to follow the games I can't make it to (due to being abroad a lot) but the quality of the service seems amateur. Feels like an early 2000s production....

I can't solo clip that and publish it anywhere as that is technically bringing the game into disrepute and risks the club getting sanctioned. I can, however, publish a full match replay in a couple of hours (once it's finished processing in iFollow) where it can be watched around 1hr 52m in :sorted:

I'm aware they're working on various additions, to bring it up to par with their other products, but timeframes and such like aren't anything to do with me I'm afraid. You can keep bombarding them via e-mail but I'm not sure what to suggest :(

Really. I find that provided I have a good to excellent internet capability, then the coverage is nothing short of superb. For example, the quality of the video for the PNE game was excellent and I was able to enjoy the game, live, in a random bar in Rome. That is a great service. I know the slight delay in the sound bugs Edmundo, but I can say I don't even notice it.

To be able to watch virtually every league game live, from anywhere in the world, for around 3 Euro a game is a great step forward from listening to Bees Player, while refreshing twitter every 20 seconds while watching sky bet live to try to gleam a little bit more.

It seems some people are either never satisfied, or else they don't appreciate how good they have it now.

You need a better internet connection!
I have a one gigabit connection :)

It was better after I restarted it at half-time. This week it was crap resolution to start with and I had to re-start it.

Nothing to do with my internet connection because I have every monitoring system under the sun here, and watching the GPG Towers kit too. It never gets anywhere near 1Gb, or even 30% of it.

Found the quality much better on Microsoft Edge than Chrome.

Well, as I was getting near perfect pictures in remote Australia, it will have been something to do with the connection between your computer and the original feed, not all of which, I suspect, is anywhere near 1GB - as your screen shot amply demonstrates!

Think people are having different experiences mate.... see Bananas screenshot. I think if you're going to do something great like this, do it right, and i'm sure they will in time.

Was checking iFollow for tomorrow's game at Brum - they haven't signed up to it and have their own streaming service BluesTV which looks like you have to sign up for a month minimum at £15.99. Presumably it'll work with a VPN but expensive for a one off match. Don't suppose there are any other options?

I've also experienced the Banana style screenshot, and lots of freezing too, but it's all been down to a poor internet service on my side. Nothing ifollow can do about that. When I seek out excellent internet service, the match looks like it's in HD.

It was not down to poor internet on my side :nono:

I reckon that they don't have their service running very well yet. A restart/refresh of the page seems to get a completely different (and acceptable) result.

As Brentford are opted into iFollow we will have pictures tonight I understand.
Thanks! Yes, they just confirmed that to me too, as I was complaining to them about constantly losing the picture. I consider it a good result if I 'only' lose it three or four times a half. And there's nothing wrong with our internet, either.

So why does it work perfectly well, great picture, no freezing, in Italy and Australia and not on your system or teebees system?

How is this ifollows problem?

All I can say is that I see a direct correlation between quality of the internet and the quality of the stream. Given that I've watched the last 6 games or so on a different internet connection each time, I've had plenty of opportunity to witness the dependence of the broadcast of good quality internet.

Because it's inconsistent. Even tonight my first connection was poor, I immediately restarted and got a HD pic.

BTW I do know what I am talking about....

I messaged iFollow this morning to say that the picture drops every 10 minutes or so and we get an error message saying that we're logged into more than one device. Helpful guy at iFollow suggested that we go to Settings and choose a lower quality stream - chose 540 tonight and it wasn't the best picture but good enough and I reckon that's the first time this season that we haven't lost the picture once during the game. One more reason to celebrate.

I don't have that issue. And if your internet connection is decent you shouldn't need it either. You've just agreed to put less load on their servers....

Someone said to me...........shoot me down......I am only repeating!

1. Close down and restart router beforehand
2. Clear cookies/history from computer/laptop
3. Use Ethernet cable, not wireless.

I had to go over to NZ at half time and done the above and reception was a lot better..............trouble was I didnt realise I had rewound by 10 minutes.....so finished 10 minutes after the result was known worldwide.....lol

Well, I don't really care if I can get uninterrupted coverage! Continuously losing the picture is so frustrating, especially when we're attacking.

a few weeks ago, i sent you on some emails that i'd had with ifollow that went nowhere and got no sensible answers. i'm not aware of any follow-up relating to those emails.

it seems a few people struggled today - i had to clear my cookies'n'cache three times during the match  and it cut out in the 90th minute :sorted:

it's really really poor to read tweets like this:

i appreciate that it's "not you" - but who is it? and when's it going to get better?

To be fair, it worked almost perfectly for me today. Just one hiccup, when the video jumped back a couple of seconds and I had to re-sync the commentary.

Didn´t work well for me yesterday. Watch Live button kept disappearing. Couldn´t get vid to work until the 2nd half. Wouldn´t mind but was able to watch other games live on other platforms yesterday no problem from the same computer. Have complained to ifollow before but just get standard guff back about clearing cookies etc, none of which has any impact.

The commentary was switching off twice a minute yesterday. I had to keep clicking the button for live play to get it back. Tried logging out and in again, and also rebooting. Didn't work.:very angry:

I'm sorry nobody has followed up on that. Remind me which ones they were (feel free to reply to them again to me) and I'll forward them on asking why nobody has answered.

Yes that is poor and annoyed me a great deal - I've forwarded it on to the providers as it's simply unacceptable.

Any idea what was going on yesterday? Tried to log on at the start of the game and just got a blank screen for the first five minutes: strangely, after I logged into live chat with them, and I was waiting for someone to come back to me, I suddenly got the picture. Judging by the live thread, some people didn't get the button, or the picture, at all. Quality yesterday: first half good, second half terrible - jerky as hell.

Lost login and requested a new one. Never happened. Paid 5 for the game and only got audio. 12 mins from the end got password reset on live chat. Poor stuff.

Same here. Very frustrating. It was doing that a few weeks ago, but seemed to be ok before the international break. Just hoping Tuesday is better.
