I watched it from Brazil. Marky and Mick’s commentary with just a single connection and was in sync but almost completely inaudible over the sound of the crowd. I had exactly the same problem with the Rotherham match.

I am no technical expert but I’d have thought this should be a relatively easy problem to solve - which begs the question as to why they haven’t yet addressed it.
It definitely sounds like sound bleed rather than a technical issue with the sound levels. It doesn't appear we are meant to get commentary with our pictures (yet). Perhaps we could ask MarkyBee and Mick to speak up a bit.

No, sound only on mobile phone. I don't live abroad!
Ah then you weren't lucky. The Audio usually works loud and clear for pretty much every game. Most of the problems discussed on here are to do with the video stream.

Though it would be more helpful if people mentioned which stream they are complaining about. :)

Well the sound bleed didn't occur once last year, i.e. there was never any sound of audio at all on the video feed, just the crowd noises.

You'll see from one of the posts above, Ifollow have said that they are allowing the clubs to superimpose their audio feed on top of the video feed - new this year.

It would be helpful if there was someone at the club we could ask who is tagged as the liason for the club on ifollow matters. Last year that was themeparkbee, but he has since left the club.

This is going to sound silly but up to now I have paid little attention to the i player so some clarification would help please
- does it replace Bees Player and is it the place I can get commentary as before? I am assuming that my iplayer subscription pays for this?
- I assume that live streaming is not available in the UK (obvious but had to ask)
Sorry to be dozy but let this slip past until saturday and was suddenly confused
Thanks a lot

yes it is the replacement. you probably don't have an active subscription if you didn't notice last year? so when you sign up now, you should see the UK options. yep, video streaming only available abroad, although apparently any league games not on Saturday 3pm will be available for video-streaming there (will be interesting to see how that goes this weekend). don't know if you have to pay extra for that then...

Well well... I thought Carabao Cup is not broadcasted but luckily I logged in just when match began, and got a full service, and this time also with commentary loud and clear. And saw Marcus' first official Bees goal... superb.

A few freezes here and there but much better than on Saturday.

Watching the Sarfend game was a nice bonus, especially as I'm in the UK at the moment.

However, the audio ended up almost 2 seconds ahead of the video, which rather diluted the excitement at the last 2 goals.

Mokotjo? He'll never score from there. Oh, apparently he has, let's see how he did it.

full-match replays: when do these generally go up?

i've never had any need for them, so i have no idea, but i'm unavoidably working on Sunday and won't be able to watch live. i will however have Monday free, so i'd happily try and avoid the score and watch the match "as live" then. but i fear if i try and mess around like that, i'll end up getting let down :( anyone know the deal?

the FAQ  says "Full match footage and highlights will be available on iFollow from midday (GMT) the day after a regular season EFL league match."

any comments as to how reliable that is? ;)

if so, it works for me, though i'll probably read something saying "Brentford F..." in the meantime :banghead:

If you have a UK subscription, it seems you still have to pay the £10 per game. I found this elsewhere: "Please note that live streams of midweek games are NOT included with UK based subscription packages and will need to be purchased separately."

Sometimes the full match is up by midday the next day, but often it takes a bit longer and sometimes it never appears. Been a bit better this year with the timing but there are a few technical problems: commentary is ahead of the picture for the Southend game and inaudible for the Stoke game.

not sure it's that reliable - I think midday the next day is the earliest, from a rights perspective.

Sorry if this has been asked before - I've checked this thread and the iFollow pages on the EFL site - but does live video work on Android phones? Either through the BFC app or simply by signing in through a Chrome browser on my phone?

I didn't realise we were playing on a Sunday and got myself booked up, can't get out of it. I can watch highlights on my phone through the browser but was hoping to check if it worked live too?

Yes. It works through the BFC app available on Google Play. Assuming you are cleared to watch in your location and you are a subscriber, you simply select iFollow, then select Live. You then have an audio option and a video option. Select the video option and off you go. If you are in a location where the video is not available (eg the UK for Saturday games) you will just get the audio option.

see Bangor Bee's post above. they say "midweek" but i think that's shorthand for any non-Saturday-3pm match :)

Try cancelling this service. It's take 5 emails now of "Yes I want to cancel, get on with it". And they've still not cancelled it.

It seems most of the non game videos go straight to the YouTube channel now. Ifollow is only useful for live audio and full game play back for UK users.

I've just received an email "Stuck at work or can’t make the game? iFollow has you covered, watch the match live for only £10!". What a pity, I'm shortly setting off for a drive to Brentford.

Out in Majorca so will be reliant on iplayer, haven’t decided whether to go for the video feed, unless sound is synced think I prefer marks commentary and catch the goals on highlights later ?

I’m guessing there is no stream elsewhere ?

A long term family BBQ was arranged for today, so I was unable to go, paid the £10 to iFollow, now sitting in a garden in Hampshire with my tablet, food & beer watching the match, not the same as being there, but, Hey Ho isn't technology wonderful, happy days!!!

First time watching a game on ifollow - is it normal for crowd noise to completely drown out commentary?
I raised this earlier in the thread but I think I’ve solved it. Just click on Audio before clicking Video.

Only problem is that I can’t get the commentary and video to sync. The commentary is about 15 seconds ahead of the video. Really frustrating.

Pause it? But yeah, it's a silly situation

Problem is the commentary was ahead of the video so if I paused the video it would be even further ahead! Is there a way of pausing just the commentary?

Just to clarify, do you mean "just click on "Listen Live" followed by "Watch Live"? Cause I do this all the time, i.e. listen to Marky Bee prior to the game, during the half time and end of game, but once I click "Watch Live" to get the video feed, the commentary goes.

Or are you selecting something different?

Watched in Majorca, clicked listen button first then watch video second and as above comments, commentary was 20 seconds behind.
Watched second half with only video stream and found it more frustrating to listen to commentary out of sync that just hearing the crowd with very faint commentary.
Apart from 10 min loss around 60 mins (sure it was a poor signal issue) picture was fine and unbroken.

Yes, that’s exactly what I did - ‘Listen Live’ followed by ‘Watch Live’. Worked for me.

Try clicking ‘Watch Live’ immediately after ‘Listen Live’.

The whole process of navigating the payment system and getting some combination of picture and commentary is so tortuous I’m sure a large part of iFollow’s potential market just gives up in frustration.
