The trouble is if you are abroad and have paid for live streaming to watch the game, you can only watch it on the app not on the BFC website.
It's no solution but works better for me than the App but still prone to issues.

I contacted ifollow ages ago when I could not watch live games from the BFC web sit and was advised the only place you could watch live games was from the app. Neither work for me. I can listen on the BFC site but not watch live games. Can't do either on the app

Is that correct? Is that only PPV?

You can pay for a season pass when abroad to watch all home and away games live.

I never use the app. Always use Safari and the website and it's rarely a problem, although when they introduced a block on adblocking, they should have warned us!

and on the contrary, as an overseas fan with a season subscription, i now watch 90% of games on the app only. discovered it worked well when some cretin arranged something for me at the same time as a match - was doubtful but i have a phone contract with a lot of data, and it worked well. and now i've discovered the joys of being able to cast the phone to the big-screen TV (and being a muppet, i can't get the laptop to connect with the same TV), so now i can watch the bees from the comfort of my couch.

apart from last weekend

Well your the lucky one, or I'm the unlucky one. I am only relaying the information I have been given by ifollow and my experience with the app. I to use safari. There is no one to have a phone conversation with at ifollow only on line chat or email and the info I have been given by various agents differs depending who you get. The last person I contacted by email took over two weeks after contacting the app developers to advise me to ditch the iPad and use something else. That's great when you are abroad.

Have they given you instructions on how to view it on the website? It can be a little complicated if you haven’t done it before.

No they told me it can't be watched on the web site it can only be watched via the app. That was my first question to ifollow over two months ago when I contacted them to say I could not watch live games via the official Brentford web site. I was told to delete my old app and turn the iPad off and re download the app from the App Store. Today I am still no further forward they have stated as per the terms and conditions I am not allowed a re fund. That's it in a nutshell.

That is strange.

I use safari but others have said most browsers work fine.

1. When you go the to the BFC website on match day (say around 15 minutes before kick off) go to the iFollow menu at the top of the page, and select My iFollow account
2. On the next page login using your iFollow details
3. Once logged in click fixtures at the top of the BFC wesbite (in the toolbar menu)
4. This will take you to the fixtures page (obviosuly :D) where it will show at the top todays fixture with a link saying "Live Match Centre" click on that link
5. On the Live Match Centre page you will see two options (prividing your outside the UK); listen live and watch live. Click watch live.
6. Now if it has logged in fine it will take you to the live stream. Chances are as it is a crap service it will show you two more options again: 1. buy a 1 match pass or 2. buy season pass
7. If this happens click the buy season pass option (you won't have to buy it again) and login again, then complete steps 3-5 again.

That should work, whoever at iFollow told you that you cannot watch it on the BFC website is a fool. I think you should ask for a partial refund of your season pass if it has affected your viewing experience.

Thank you Adam. This is the first bit of light at the end of the tunnel. I will try this next game. I already did most of what you have said but step 7 is new to me. Here's hoping I can watch us beat QP haha

There was. But they appear to have moved to online chat.
Yes they have. If you have a problem that is not solved to your satisfaction and you have to go back to on line chat they seem to not be able to look up your old chat and you have to repeat all the steps again that they have asked you to do before. I now email them and am building up a log of the conversations had. Although I have only recently started doing this. Banana you are a mover and a shaker, if you can it should help us mortals.

i think they always were like that, but the number was a bit of an "unofficial workaround", let's say. might be that no-one answers, but could be worth digging it out...

There’s a far bigger mover and shaker for IFollow on the GPG. I’m sure they’ll read it. But I doubt that manning phones that only ring between 14:45 and 15/00 on Saturdays makes a decent business case.

3.2. For more significant planned changes to iFollow and/or these Terms, you will be provided with reasonable notice of the planned change. For example, this may include:

3.2.1. removal of outdated or redundant features from iFollow; or

That sounds a really long winded way of doing it.

Sorry ITK, was at the game so only just seen your posts

Do you have a laptop/PC? It will work on there for the browser. Plus you will have a bigger screen to watch on.

It's a high quality service ;)

I was trying to give ITK a walk through that overcomes all the bugs the system seems to have. Having said that, I always have to do it the way I described above. Never tried watching via the app though.

Great result Saturday. Everything I have is iOS. Shame the terms and conditions were not more explicit. Thanks for your advice.

The useless commentating and useless editing on the the extended highlights have been mention before, but the Middlesbrough game really did my head in.

First, they didn't show Canos' disallowed goal, then they gave no indication that Bentley was injured and had been replaced by an 18-year-old.
This was compounded by the commentator also having no idea, and calling Gunnarsson "Bentley" right to the final whistle.

Can't BFC create our own extended highlights with our own commentary?

The full match is always available a few days later, with the Markybee commentary, under the heading "Broadcast". I'd guess creating an edit down to make highlights is a significant cost, though, and they're just getting that on an EFL Digital feed.

They showed both disallowed goals in the extended highlights. The one where Maupay and Saville clashed? Definitely on the 10 minute version.

there seem to be two "versions" that get released, one of which is quickly put up and features the clueless neutral commentary. it's a weird state of affairs.

It never occurred to me to look on YouTube. As a paying iFollow subscriber, I assumed I'd get better service from iFollow. And to be fair, the quality of the video is much better on iFollow, it's just the annoying editing and commentary.

Poor planning by me so i’m abroad for the games against Derby and Ipswich.

I have an iFollow subscription for audio commentary in the UK which I think works in other countries. Just wondering if I can use my existing account to watch the match live, presumably for an extra payment.

Yes it should offer you the per game video price of 6 or 7 euros.

Try another browser. In Safari, I was told I had to pay $9, even though I have a season pass, but in Chrome, no such problem. What a load of crap.

Also, the stream is very jittery today via iFollow - but it's fine on Tinter (but Wigan commentary is unbearable).

Makes you appreciate Mark Burridges unbiased commentary when you hear some of the crap spouted by the home teams commentary on iFollow, totally biased opinions that are beyond belief, I know they work for the home club but any neutral supporter would think they're watching a different game.

Did I see a tweet saying that the Swansea away game would not be streamed on Ifollow or was this an April Fools joke?
I also saw that tweet. Because it's April 2nd here, it didn't occur to me that it might be an April fool.

I've asked for clarification. What I am hoping is that the match WILL be available on iFollow to overseas subscribers. My thoughts are that normally midweek games are shown on the red button and on iFollow to UK subscribers, but as this match was originally NOT a weekend match, that won't apply to this game, hence the tweet. If I'm right, then it should be fine overseas. Hopefully I am right and that tweet was just badly worded.

But with iFollow, you can't be sure and I could just as easily be wrong.

If they don't have it available to watch on iFollow to overseas subscribers, I shall be demanding compensation, as it would be a clear breach of contract by them.

ifollow is the biggest crock of sh*t in the world..ever...FACT... ****ing big FACT

I tried to listen to the game and it just won’t work. I have just deduced that my subscription may have run out. Can I work out how to re-subscribe, can I fekk.

This must be the only service in the world which doesn’t warn you that you’re subscription is up and then demands a masters degree in ifollow technology to work out how to subscribe again.

I have given up now.
