Yes St. Bernards has quite a few football connections. Jonny Giles was also at there at that time, he was at Oxford United and now at Chelmsford City in the National League. Kieran Hayes was in my class and he is now head of the academy at Oxford United.
We must know each other lol. Went to same primary and secondary as Kieran and most of his mates were close mates of mine too.
Head of academy at Oxford United? Wow. Fair play to him. lol and same with Jonny, no idea he kicked ball let alone pro and semi pro now. His sister was in my year.

My daughter is at St Bernard's with Matty Cash's sister, although I don't think he went there. Matty Cash (Forest) is, I believe, son of Stuart Cash (11 appearances on loan for Brentford 1990). It doesn't get more tenuous than this!

Michael Mancienne went to my son's school, St Mark's in Hounslow.

I can't think of anybody famous at all who went to my school. Sorry, I'm trying.
No, not sure where Matty Cash went to school but wasn't St. Bernard's.

Matt Somner at Nelson School - was 2 years below me I think but we played in the school team in my final year. Also played with Jay Smith and Graham Stack at Whitton Colts in Sunday youth football. Sadly I peaked around 10/11 years old lol

Mark Peters was in the year below me. Never knew him but his reputation as a decent footballer was almost as well established as his reputation for being a t0sser...!
Ha correct. Tomlinscote or Collingwood? I was France Hill. Played against him in Sunday league a few times from memory

Mark Williams, winger from the early '00s, scored a great goal at home to Stoke - Twyford CofE High School.
I went there, just before it changed to C of E.

Peter Lara - Heston boy , played with him not same school - he played England under 16’s, don’t think he made a pro start though.
Thanks for mentioning him, was trying to remember his name when this thread went up. I was at Heston Infants with Peter.

King Kev went to my school, Douay Martyrs (sadly several years after I'd left!!). Not aware of any other league players although we had several who played for local non-league sides Hayes and Hillingdon Borough. (We also had boxing brothers Chris and Kevin Finnegan - before my timer there)

Roy Cotton (two appearances in '70s) is my bruv-in-law. Him, my sister and I all went to Cardinal Wiseman
I remember Roy, I think he was 2 or 3 years above me at Wiseman, I was in the same year as his brother.

I believe many years later Jason Roberts was at Cardinal Wiseman.

Gerry Francis attended Hogarth School in Chiswick. Not Bees obviously, but local. My dad met him once when he was deputy head there.
Big respect to Gerry Francis, (well apart from the Q.P.R. connection), professional footballer, England international and captain and still has the time to become a Deputy Head.!

Nana, bearing in mind Crouch is nearly 7ft how big are you? Not meaning to be rude here - I mean tall.
He was also out drinking with my mother on the evening after he signed for Liverpool!

A true if somewhat sad story about my mate Micks mum. They lived in South Ealing. For the last 5 years of her life she had very bad dementia and was in a home. The only person she could remember clearly and would talk about was Peter Crouch - a lovely boy apparently. I'm not sure what the link to him was although he did live locally.

Douay Martyrs in Ickenham...

Kevin O’Connor - Brentford
Jamie Hand - Watford
Wes Daly - QPR

We had a few other “famous” people that went there too but not football related.

Same Year 9 science class as John Jackson - Spurs, Colchester, Swindon, Charlton.
He didn’t pay attention, I did. Guess who that worked out better for?

Collingwood. Yeah I played against him too, I played at a pretty low level, couldn't believe he was down there against me - and didn't look any better than the rest of us.

In the shed.
One of our PE teachers was a scout for QPR. A couple of pupils signed for them. I never liked the bloke.

Same school year as Anthony Cook who went on to make it pro at Colchester. Same school football team as a certain Marc Bircham who was a couple of years younger but due to his quality would play in nearly every match for the years above

Matty Cash went to St Josephs. My mate's daughter was in his class.

Lloyd Owusu went to St Josephs. Clement James also, didn't quite make it at BFC but did ok in non league, i think.

St Josephs also had Brian McDermott & Eric Young.
Think Paul Rendall (The Judge) ex England rugby went there too
