Amazing scenes, well done you young Bees, and great for Matthew Benham to see what his generosity can mean. Beating Liverpool and Everton !! We have come a long way . :bound:

£40,000 tops depending on academy status according to the BBC site. But has the plan come into force yet?

so Mr B ploughs £100000's into the set up only for the best to picked off by the big boys at £40 k each ???

Which is why a lot of lower league clubs have got the hump. And why if some of our players get picked up, we still have a few that get through the net.

To put this in some sort of perspective, the last 10 winners of the Milk Cup Junior Section have been:
Everton, Chelsea, Everton, Everton, Guadalajara (Mexico), Swindon Town, Lyngby (Denmark), Maccabi Haifa (Israel) and Racing Club (Argentina):

And I wonder if/when BFC will progress to entering a team in the Premier (U-17) Section, previous 10 winners being:
Desportivo Brasil, Aspire (Qatar), Etoile Lusitania (Senegal), Man U, Man U, Fluminense (Brazil), Spartak Moscow, Barcelona, Hearts and Man U

what an outstanding achievement, we've beaten both Liverpool and Everton, two Premiership clubs with long established youth set-ups whose budget for Youth is probably so way above ours that it's nearly out of sight !

Really well done Ose and all involved :bound: :hat: :bound:

Their youth budget is probably more than what we spend in total.

I would hope/assume that these new heroes are allowed to enter it now.

didn't they also sign Wycombe's young player for quite a bit of money, not sure his name?

Liverpool's team cost millions to put together apparently, so seems like a healthy upper limit exists, if it does at all.

Well done boys... Should have won it last year though and if Ose had known the boys better the first year they could have reached the last 4 definately.

Brilliant achievement by the lads.

Not all of them will make it through to become first team players, but even if three or four do so it bodes well for the future of the club.

Great to see the highlights and i hope the young lads realise how proud we are and that out in East Germany we were singing full voice in their honour. I really hope the club get them to present to the fans either at the Yeovil or Crewe games (before kick off when more are actually in the stands, they deserve their moment in front of as many as possible, not at half time when half the crowd are having a p1ss or a beer) so we can recognise and ackknowledge their achievements. Superb!
