I anticipate that some if not many, of the first-choice players, will be rested/not risked now that we've secured the poll P.O. starting position. Maybe Ivan will play to try and beat the equalled record. I think our reserves will be well up for this and anxious to make the best possible impression to have a chance of playing in the P.O.'s as well as staying on next season. A strong team including Ivan, then at least 3 nil to the Bees, otherwise, a one-nil win. Psychologically, going into the P.O.s with a sound winning run, unlike our rivals, and unlike us last season, would be good.

I get the thing about momentum but l hope Thomas rests as many as he can. Not fussed about the result but I'm sure a B team can put on a show against a crumbling Bristol City.

Bristol City are just awful at the moment and our recent record at Ashton Gate is very good.

I expect us to make several changes but even then we will have a strong team out.

Bristol City have conceded 9 in their last 3 games against Millwall, Luton and Wycombe.

I’m going with 3-1 to the Bees; 87 points for the season and massive momentum for the play offs.

Screw it!

City 0 Bees 3

Toney hat trick in the first half
I think if we score three in the first half even if we take Toney off we’d run up a cricket score. I think it’ll probably be more of a non-event than that.

For once I couldn't care less.

Just important the club works out who should / should not play.
what ?? i am looking forward to a 4th straight win or at least not losing . To have unbeaten records of 21 and 12 in the same season would be brilliant

I want the POs to be successful - I'd sacrifice Saturday if the club feels changes need to be made.
They will do whats best for the team as always. Losing a game against a poor team won't be part of the plan i am sure.

16 days between games is not a recipe for staying in form imho

Although 21 and 15 would be even better.....
🙂
And I am sure that Thomas Frank and Brian Riemer would be keen to set a new Brentford benchmark of least games lost in the English second tier - last time we only lost 7 in a regular season was 2008/09 but that was when we won L2. Achieving the same in the EFL Championship is an entirely more impressive feat !

I believe TF is good enough as a man-manager to know who of the first-team squad will benefit from another game before the play-offs and who will not. I just hope that doesn't mean nine defenders and IT!:LOL:

I think a narrow victory. I sort of don't mind conceding a goal as it will not be such a psychological shock if we were to concede on Saturday rather than in a PO game after being so defensively sound over recent weeks. I think BC will be glad to get this season over and much depends upon their players' view of Pearson, a few of them might be out the door anyway and not be too arsed. 2-1 to us, I would like Ivan to score but would prefer him to be sitting in his lounge really. Forss and Mbeumo in the first half and it will meander peacefully along after that.

Looking for a strong performance, young players to shine, Ivan Toney to net his thirty first league goal, 2-0 win. Not asking for much.

James Linington is the referee. Another poor official to end the season with.

He sent off MBS away at Watford earlier in the season :fishing:

We’ve been their bogey team for years, since 1997 play off semis at least.
Bristol C 1-4 Bees.
Toney 3 (2 pens), Marcondes.

Been told BC have to have 58 shots tomorrow to avoid being the new record holders for least shots attempted in a Championship season - not sure they will quite reach that figure...
