I don’t know what the answer is, but Dominic Thompson definitely isn’t it.
Your right he keeps turning his backInjured, slight hamstring.
Castlemaine XXXXI just spilt my beer over me as well. What's the opposite of if carling did boxing days?
Who else is there?I don’t know what the answer is, but Dominic Thompson definitely isn’t it.
I’ve never known a hamstring keep a player out for less than 4 weeks in the best caseInjured, slight hamstring.
Not if it just a tightness or a lower grade injury.I’ve never known a hamstring keep a player out for less than 4 weeks in the best case
Dom struggled to get a game for Swindon last season so I'm not surprised he's not lighting up the Premier League. But hey, he's what we've got at the moment.Thompson is utterly powder puff in the tackle, been a couple of occasions where he's utterly bottled a 50/50.
Well no doubt we needed to change things but not convinced Onyeka is what we need. Hopefully he’ll prove me wrong. Would be tempted to give Bidstrup a run out, he’s got energy in spades and is good on the ballWell I called it right
Best post so far todayWe look like a team down to bare bones with no shape and lots of long ball. I’d change to 433 and get Forss on with Sorensen going to LB
Should have given Finn Stevens a start he couldn’t do any worseWho else is there?
I know. Doesn’t make it any less terrifying though!!it’s not that long ago that the GPG was full of “if we play like that, I dread to think what Peterborough will do to us…” so we have taken huge steps forward!!!
Maybe Captain Hindsight could come off the bench too?Should have given Finn Stevens a start he couldn’t do any worse
Best post of the day! I'd go flat 4-4-2 and play with out and out wingersAnyone else think we might need a change of system? I really like our set up against the bigger teams but against teams where I feel we should be dominating or at least seeing more of the ball it feels like we aren't taking the fight to but rather ceding possession and allowing wave after wave and the constant targeting of our wingbacks.
Also sidenote - Sergi keeps committing to 5050s that he rarely comes out winning leaving us exposed time after time. Love the enthusiasm but needs to temper it when we're not comfortable...
Another hamstring problem. We seem to be getting a large number which seems disproportionate compared with other clubs.. Maybe we need to look at our training methods? Hamstring issues arise due to muscle fatigue.Injured, slight hamstring.
Can you reference the data on this. Well if the captain offers us someone who can control, head the ball and pass with some accuracy we could try him as wellMaybe Captain Hindsight could come off the bench too?
Talk of changing tactics, whilst probably relevant, is I would imagine impossible with the short time scale between games and the ever changing amount of available players due to injury and illness.
For now we just have to muddle through with what we have got. Tonight’s performance is not down to tactics but down to players not concentrating/thinking and generally out of touch
f*** knows why people are worried about Norgaard missing Man City, I'd far rather be missed that, than a game we had a hope in.
And by trying to stop a Toyota Avensis when you've forgotten the handbrake.Hamstring issues arise due to muscle fatigue.
That’s it. Let’s jump on the lad starting his first PL game and only starting because of several other absences.I don’t know what the answer is, but Dominic Thompson definitely isn’t it.
Done about 20 in my playing days many years ago. Horrible injury.I’ve never known a hamstring keep a player out for less than 4 weeks in the best case
20 hamstrings? Were you getting them off Trigger?Done about 20 in my playing days many years ago. Horrible injury.
Not sure as If baptiste would have gone in we would not have got the cornerCould easily have been 2-2.
I thought a 3-3 at Newcastle was a decent result for us!!!WAKE UP BEES!
Clearly the squad had a few too many mince pies yesterday and forgot they would have a game today.
So wasteful in the first half, too many passes not making it past the first Brighton player.
Brighton are playing some nice football but we are making it too easy for them. Maybe they're just too physical for us?
What is it about teams on bad runs getting a good result against us? Burnley, Norwich, Newcastle and now Brighton.
Walking footballCan you reference the data on this. Hamstrings are probably one of the most common injuries for football players.
And what is the preventative cure?
Whilst I take your point I also think it is overstating it.Agree in parts but my belief is one system is now part of the whole first team set up and that is where I'd agree it would be difficult to change it overnight. Due to this we have to find players to fit that system instead of having a few different systems worked out over a space of time which then gives us options for the players we have available.
Although to be fair the system we use will likely get us to 38 - 40 points so it will be jon done.
If we are going to play Thompson this high we may as well sub him for Ghoddos and get a bit more quality on the ball.
And this is spot on. I’ve always considered Ivan to be very limited and now he’s being exposed…
