Will cost him £35 to buy though, of which you'll get £20.....
(depending on which part of the ground your ST is in.....)
I am sure this has already been answered on other threads, but considering the game is just over 24 hours way and not sold out, why can't ST holders purchase an extra ticket? I understand it can't go on general sale, but surely the club trusts ST holders not to purchase tickets for away fans (for one if caught they risk losing their ST).

Ticket exchange for s/t listing is closed, from official site. ( posted there couple of hours ago)
I wonder how many TE tickets have actually been sold?
Yesterday I was trying to work out how to access the site for someone, it was as difficult as finding the Ark of the Covenant in the warehouse in Raiders of the Lost Ark. There is no apparent direct link and the main sales site shows as Sold Out. It was trial and error for the best part of 20 minutes before we finally got there and neither of us are complete luddites.
TE returns should either be sold as part of the main booking process or there should be a Big FO Button flagging where TE is located.

I've used the exchange, the fact its completely separate from the ticket website doesn't help.
As I member, on the ticket website there is an option for Exchange, you click it and it just says "you have no tickets to sell" (or something along those lines). I can imagine many people give up after this

According to email, just received there are a few tickets still available to buy and also some on the exchange

agree but seems daft that ST holders cannot buy exchange tickets for mates to a sold out game . Members could pass on tickets to away fans too.
there is always a trail of any trouble.

Im not saying they should. But there have been 100-odd tickets available for over a week that are still available now.
Members have had their opportunity so there’s no reason not to let ST holders buy one extra.

I think if there are unsold tickets the day before a game, STHs should have the chance to buy an extra, yes.

Being fair to the actual fans? Your mates can still buy membership and then buy a ticket if they want to come. "only way to see a league game this year is to buy membership" was the line when selling the £40 memberships.

But it seems a shame there will be at least 100 or so odd empty seats that could’ve been sold with members missing out.

The issue is that there ARE members that want to come today, but the Ticket Exchange remains a secret as when you go to the ticket site it says "Sold Out". The rational thinking person doesn't then go "ah, but what about the secret exchange?". They just think "no more tickets then, oh well".

Should the website not redirect you to the ticket exchange automatically if its "sold out" and the exchange is open?.
This is the page you get if you manage to find the option for the exchange on the ticket website, as a member.
The only way to find it is to Google "Brentford ticket exchange". And even then, its pretty unintuitive.
Even as a member, the only mention of the exchange on the ticketing website takes you to the page as if you were selling one. That is extremely poor IMO

If you go back a page, ignore the blurb about how to get to the Exchange and instead select Home from the drop down box you get to the right place
