I think constructive criticism is fair. Just outright abuse is not on.
For whatever reason the lad MB hasn't found his form. The system is definitely slightly different this year. And we aren't getting the best out of him. He had a wonderful first year and it isn't working right now for him. With spurts of good, but 75mins of poor.
That's pretty fair and constructive. The coaching team and himself need to work hard to find his form again. Our most expensive ever player is currently one of our poorest on the pitch.
Now if that is abuse then.. sorry but seems a fair judgment. On his day he is amazing... But right now... It's not working out for him.

Makes me furious when I see people just hurl unnecessary abuse at players. I hope the lad can find some form because bye god we've all seen him tear players apart just hasn't clicked this year for him. Strange one.

Seems like Frank is trying to play him into good form like he did with Canos. I think he will turn out to be class but needs to be taken out of starting XI again as his decision making has been poor for long time now.
It’s all gone a bit Pete Tong. I am sure he will bounce back at some point, we know he’s got ability, pace and physicality. But it’s just not quite there at the moment. Great movement for the pen but a poor first touch if we are honest.
I would start Fosu tbh and use Bryan as an impact sub if needed, and Marcondes as a wide “hold the ball sub” if that’s what is needed instead

bryan is a player that can turn a game on its head with quality, but we don’t see enough of it now days.

the bloke is a decent player but this season hes been more bad than good......we cant drop him as no one is there to take his place unfortunately,,,,,,were relying on him coming up with the goods.....he needs to show us that he wants it........i like him as on his day he can change a game but this season hes nowhere near what he should be doing

Thought he was pretty good first half apart from the miss. Worked his arse off, got back and covered Dalsgaard and got into dangerous positions, passing was a little off at times but movement was good and great touch in the box to win the pen. Second half everyone falls apart so don't see the need to pick him out. He's young and he's still learning. We had two very senior pros out there second half panicking like they were U15s thrown into a Champions League final...

Lucky the defender took him out for the penalty as he’d already totally miss controlled the ball by then and it was heading out of play.
Not hitting the target first half when it was harder to miss. Really worrying. I’d say his defending is probably better than his attacking at the moment.
Disappeared 2nd half along with many others.
We all just want last seasons Bryan back. This seasons version is way off.

Bryan Mbuemo is one of the last players that deserves criticism tbh. (Admittedly I was in the kitchen getting a beer when he had that chance and still haven’t seen it back so..) Of course his perfomances haven’t lived up to last season which when you take everything into account is fairly understandable. Saying that he’s still been involved in 14 goals (4 goals 9 assists) where as other players for different teams that would be hyped up a bit more imo. I have absolutely no doubts in my mind Mbuemo is a fantastic player who will come on leaps & bounds he’s only 21. He has my full support, must be hard for him being in a different country in a pandemic without his BW from last season for starters.

Superb block by their defender.
I thought BM looked decent today, but things really not quite going for him at the moment.
He created 3 brilliant chances in the first half, had a great shot skim the post, won numerous free kicks and had a goal denied by a brilliant last ditch block.
The other side of the pitch was the big problem and has been all season.

Only reason he hasn't scored is down to fantastic anticipation and last ditched block by the Forest defender - I was disappointed he was the player to get hooked first out of him and Canos today.

I don’t mind Bryan at all, it’s sergi who I’d rather have dropped. Fosu & Mbuemo on the wings is the best option we have atm

Our wide players are all much of a muchness. IMO none are of a standout level. It looked like we tried to address that in january but without success.

average at best today.........seems to fade badly 2nd halfs.......should have scored......i like him but hes not doing enough and with his physique should be knocking people out the way but doesnt.......needs some sort of competition for a starting place but there isnt really so is probably our only option......needs this 2 weeks off to do a re-set and start the last games like the player of last season.......please

He had a good game, front three and Jensen were v good first half. We should have been out of sight with the chances we had. Forest offered nothing until Pontus and Reid combined to lay one on a plate for them.

Nah. Both sides have been an issue all season. Bryan like Sergi turns up a performance once in every 5 games or so. Not good enough.
He did alright but alright isnt enough. Hes been in crap form for a year now. How long is it going to go on for?
2-3 wingers are a must in the summer.

I didn't think he did that well but, when you look at his stats (with WhoScored giving him MoM!), he clearly did! He was certainly involved a lot.

Quality player. I couldn't believe he missed that sitter Saturday, then saw that the defender got something on it. I really want him to score a goal his quality deserves, so he feels no one can doubt him. Once his confidence returns, wow.

Yes, he should have scored but ... What I see is someone getting better over the last few weeks. He is getting into better areas: won the pen vs Derby, missed a great chance and then again on Saturday. For me, he would be a starter against Huddersfield.
He is in the top assist and goal contributors in the championship, the chances he creates and his work rate are top draw. His performance against Forest and Derby in the first half was excellent and for him to be taken off before Canos was laughable. He has been unlucky with hitting the post and goal line blocks and things just not falling his way. He is our most important winger by a country mile, it's not even close, he is pure class.

i thought the comments after the forest game were particularly bizarre as it was one of our best attacking displays for a while, particularly first half and the front three (four if you include Jensen) worked really well together. I guess it’s just the default to blame Sergi or Bryan regardless of what actually happens on the pitch

One thing he has developed massively this year is his attacking on his right side though which is a really important extra facet to his play.

yes, he’s really started to go outside the defender more and with great success.
He’s a fantastic talent but I have found him so frustrating this season but in moments this season has played very well but I feel people get caught up in the assist stats . His general 90 min performances haven’t been good enough. I am sure he will find his consistency again and then we have a player on our hands

My theory is that he needs to accelerate immediately on his first touch. He did this for the pass that led to our 2nd goal against Preston. Contrast that with the dwelling on the ball, getting caught in possession, that led to one of their goals. His problems this year seem to have 2 themes. Firstly when he stops in traffic, and gets robbed of the ball. 2ndly when he cuts inside, and gets robbed of the ball. Completely agree with comments above that he has started going outside more often, with really good results. Must have been working hard on his right foot crosses.

I would've thought that assists are the primary KPI for a wide forward, followed by goals.
Maybe,but lets not underestimate the effect of no longer playing with Ollie and Said.Ivan is a very different player,Ollie created masses of space with his non stop runs,as evidenced at Villa,and of course teams were doubling up on Said.
We have replaced the goals,but we are not the same as a unit going forward.

I think he's like 90% of most sportsmen & women - the talent is all there, but he just needs a real confidence boost to kick start his reaching potential. A great goal would work wonders for him and maybe help rediscover that 'zip' he has lost.
