The tweet for the Brighton game had us playing at home so I wouldn't put too many hopes on this source of news

Excellent performance hope he can carry it into the league.

On a sidenote the inability of any commentator to approach a correct pronunciation of his surname is getting ridiculous and every week there seems to be some new outlandish variant. The BBC commentary today decided that the M is silent and it is obviously pronounced "Boomo". It's not that hard to get right!

The commentator on MotD pronounced it Muwembo. Three times!

Is Bryan the first Bee to score a hat-trick coming on as a substitute?

A massive confidence booster too.

Had a look at the highlights on YouTube...
Were one of his goals off the post?
If so, he does love hitting them, doesn't he??
He makes a reference to that in his post-match interview!

Even if the M is silent, it’s still not Boomo as “eu” is not pronounced “oo”.

Perhaps I've missed out, but was that his first media interview in English? Don't have Sky, so may have missed others previously.
Neal Maupay speaks English very fluently now and has done for quite a while now, glad to see Bryan confident enough to do so as well.

Above any criticism that others around him deserve last night, played well, worked hard.
Agree with this along with Janelt one of the few bright points. Bryan looked sharp and the confidence of his goals at Port Vale was evident. It's a shame that IT was so far off of his game and how little opportunity he got to run at the Saints defence. Incidentally Lyanco I thought was excellent in the heart of their defence.

Thought he was one of a few bright spots last night. Shame he still doesn't trust his right though. Thought he could have popped a ball out to Roeslev but instead seemed to doubt himself and the chance was gone. But just jgood will he become? Learning all the time.

Always give us his all, been back to his best lately without even scoring, been far better than Toney this season imo,so many times today Bryan looked to create a chance and yet again Toney was no where to be seen. Such a shame, these 2 had such good link up before.

Absolutely outstanding today, just a shame we couldn't take advantage of his great play. His touch at times is unbelievable. Has to be top candidate for player of the year already.. Has been consistently our best player all season..

Much more effective player playing in a 2 up
Top than when he was playing wide. Keep up the good work BM.

👍
And it's very difficult to make it work properly.....
But we're trying in W234.....
Probably works best pronouncing "Bryan" as 1 syllable......

Or his surname as Boomo. It was the only way I could manage the song at Anfield.

Does anyone else think BM looks far more dangerous cutting in from the right wing than playing down the middle at present?

How can we reconcile this with playing 352 unless he moves to wingback?
