Would have been Ivan's 'goal' if it had gone in, but for me it's Sergi's bit of trickery in front of the West Stand.

I couldn’t work out how to find my f***ing level and the steward was marginally worse than useless helping me. I had to climb from the stairwell over a barrier to find it ! 😂

I did suggest that in future, getting from Mezz to W234, and vice versa would be easier to just climb over the barrier too!!

My moment was coming down the stairs today thinking about the atmosphere at Lionel rd, and loving it thinking no matter what happens i will be here next season. Deciding its not just a football match its a math day experience and what a club to follow.

My first time at the ground yesterday - in the West stand, and I got a lift to my seat level. Pressed the wrong button (3 I think) and instantly found myself in the Mezzanine! Had to go down a couple of floors to get to my seat.

*very, very impressed with the ground. Seat in the Dugout gave me a perfect view. And I do mean perfect. Pity it was not a game really worth seeing.

I don’t want to divide opinion or subtract anything from yesterday, but that just doesn’t add up 🤓

Thank you.

Dug Out is South Stand Larry.
Your first time seeing The Bees in the top flight in 74 years, not worth seeing ? And you are one of the very few who saw the last one I think. Jeez, you’re hard to please

Three big thankyous as my champagne moments. To:

1/ @Bees1994 for the loan of his brother's season ticket! Up with the noisy boys which was great fun! :)
2/ The very nice person who handed my new bank card into the club, which went missing on the way to the ground.
3/ The club for contacting me about the card on my way home and for posting it back to my home address.

There are still some very decent people around the place!! :)

After their goal when Ivan appeared to lift Maupay up and carry him back into his own half still makes me laugh now.
Later on as they were winding the clock down at the corner Maupay and Ivan were laughing about it. Maupay said something like you gonna pick me up again, they both laughed and then ran away from the corner just as the ref blew his whistle

Woops - my mistake. I was in the right seat, though - somehow.
As for hard to please - yes. I expect matches to have skill, flair......and excitement. Saturday, I'm afraid, didn't.
*first time in person, yes. But I've seen all the other matches on telly, and the only difference is that the players all seemed much taller!!:)

It’s a shame that you appear to have missed Toney’s 40 yard screamer that just went over the bar, Bryan’s three goal chances (the second two he should have buried) and Vitaly’s powerful shot on goal.

spot on , we were saying this .
The big match feel is amazing. From seeing hordes of Bees shirts in Ealing to the Invo express , walk through the tunnel , drinks in the ground then getting to your seats into that fantastic stadium.

Spot on. Just to see thousands of people around and they are going to the same place as you is magic.

I did miss IT's shot - traffic all the way meant I missed the first 10 minutes.
As for the four non-productive shots you mention - it's, what, four seconds in a 90 minute game. That doesn't raise my blood pressure I'm afraid.

That's a shame Larry. You've been watching Brentford long enough to appreciate just how good Saturday was. Yes, the result was disappointing - mainly as we didn't, unfortunately, take one or two of several good chances created, but the performance was enough to leave me walking away believing that we will be fine this season and we are certainly not out of place in the best league in the world!!
Ten years ago today we were winning 1-0 in League 1 at Rushden and Diamonds in "The Great Escape" season. We have progressed light years from those days and everything about Saturday made me think how lucky us Bees fans are.

Maybe you should try basketball? To say that you did not see skill, flair and excitement on Saturday is very strange. The skill levels on show (from both teams) were miles ahead of what we have seen for most of, if not all of the last 50 years.

Perhaps you could ask your doctor for a lower dosage of Losartan and Simvastatin. 🤔😏

Did you not see the lesser spotted W135/W235 sign? I tell you, that’s the secret pathway to Bee Heaven.
🤫 Not sure if I should be disclosing this as its a bit like Harry Potter’s 9 3/4 platform. But the first staircase on the right along the back of the west stand as you enter gate N… Sorry I’ve already sad too much. 😏

Previously, I did think about taking a ball of string with me, but decided it was impractical. Now, I consider myself a stairway veteran, and will suggest the Club produce a pin/button to be available to inductees later in the season.

If you see me wandering around looking confused, do point me in the right direction for W236 as I have got lost every time so far. I'll be wearing a red and white striped shirt.

I‘m actually still inside the BCS (I’ve found the one place where there’s a mobile/data signal available) and I’ve been here since Saturday evening, looking for the W235 sign.

Please send help. And tea and a nice Victoria Sandwich sponge cake.

If you’re entering at P - as it says on the ticket- then it’s next to Gate N, of course…
Where’ve you got mobilicity? Please don’t say it’s the wheelchair toilet. I won’t tell anyone…

Yes, me too.

My neighbours said to me on Saturday, "Why do you arrive from a different direction each game?".

I got caught too.
Came in on the M3, Richmond, Kew Bridge, and the normal 40 minute journey took just over 2 hours. I missed the first ten mins., so decided on M4, M25 to go home. As you say - road works, so return took me exactly 2 hours. Not amused.

My journey was even worse! Coming down from Leeds M1 was blocked by an accident near MK (2 hour delay according to traffic alerts) so I cut across to M40 then found M4 shut so had to go via Hillingdon etc. Missed first 10mins too.

Yep, M4 Closed could only get on at Hayes. So got stuck round every back road in Hayes!! At kick off I was still stuck on the back roads off North Hyde Road in Hayes!!
