"is there a firedrill?" was defeaning and very entertaining but, for me, Dave's nutmeg against Dickson in injury time was gold :sorted:

Yep, it was a great save and it has added another sparkle to the day to hear that Dave's nutmeg was on Dickson. I also liked the 'you're just a small town in Portsmouth' chant!!
However my moment is personal. Living so far away from Brentford it has not been easy convincing the kids to take any interest, so my champagne moment was hearing my 8-year-old daughter singing 'By far the greatest team' and saying to me after the game: 'I think I'm a real Brentford fan now dad, aren't I?' :)

For me, the performance and a personnel thing. I really needed that today for my wife is clinging on to life fighting her cancer. She told me to go today, and go I did. Thank you Andy Scott and the team for really lifting my spirits today.

Best wishes from me too, Werderbee.

And thanks for a really good performance from the Bees at what is effectively my only "home" game this season!

Too name a few:

The first goal - haha
Their keeper warming up at half time
The Portsmouth chants
The final whistle..

But the best by far..

When Charlie got subbed and he wouldn't leave until he shook the ref's hand.. pure comedy to watch!! :D

Have to say I thought the Ref was superb too.

He should've booked 3 of their players before booking 'Dave' for an inocuous foul in the second half. As for that Ginger assistant :mad1:

It looked to me as if Dave's was a 2 footed tackle which fully merited a yellow.

I thought that the ref didn't let the crowd get to him and he didn't give them all the 50:50 decisions.

He was fair and consistent - can't ask for much more.

Brought tears to my eyes reading that Werderbee. Very best wishes to you both.

In terms of the game, Lee's save in the first couple of mins. Outstanding and set the tone for a real battling performance.

Us Essex boys & Coxy and all of our other halves had the pleasure of meeting Werder & his lovely missus on the floating bar on the Thames in the Summer. Totally devastating to hear what they're now going through after her incredibly long hard battle against this awful disease. Our thoughts are with you both mate.

Best wishes. We may never win the Champions League but Brentford have a real knack of pulling off days like yesterday when some fans need it most IMO.

My champagne moment was seeing the whole game.

Is there anything brave about following the BFC? I thought that's what fans were supposed to do. Unless you've given up.......................
