Birmingham in the top 4 with their win last night. Won’t last.

Anyway, didn’t see the game last night but heard Don Goodman comparing Deeney going to Birmingham with Ronaldo going to Man Utd. Ha.
What a ridiculous thing he has said there!... I watched the second half deeney didn’t do much at all they said that he is feeling fitter then ever but he looked the complete opposite to me

Another defeat for Forest. Can see John Terry replacing Chris Hughton sooner rather than later now …

Hughton is a proven successful manager at this level. It's either he's not the right fit for them, or they have just recruited poorly.

Nothing would please me more than Terry come in and take them down. However, I suspect JT will think anything below top 6 championship material is below him.

Agree completely but I don’t see a queue forming for JT’s services or any particular evidence that he added much to Villa as “assistant”/vulture. Rooney looks like he’s working himself into the ground trying to learn and keep the job at Derby and at least had the advantage of having played there immediately before so I’m not sure the time is not passing on having a top playing career being the path to immediate management. Terry’s best bet is someone like Forest and having an immediate impact in changing their play, performances and results to steer them well away from danger and show where they might progress to. But if he thinks that he’s not up to that challenge why would anyone let him loose on a team already challenging at the top end of the table?

I’m not sure if John Terry has got the motivation to go into management yet.
The bloke is wealthy enough to retire from football and could easily become a tv pundit for a regular but smaller income just like Gary Neville, Rio etc
He walked out on Villa so he could have a family holiday ffs!!!

Is he a particularly articulate or entertaining speaker? Commentating and commenting is harder than it looks.

He’ll probably get Woodgated in as a coach and take over two days later.

Classic case of him leaving Villa in the summer expecting a job. Nothing materialised and wouldn’t surprise me if it is his own agent speaking to the press.
No actually when he left he said he was going to go and learn at various clubs and wasn't ready to be a manager.

Thinking we should be more positive about Birmingham City - with Harley Dean, Colin, Woods and Hogan playing they're basically Brentford reserves...

Wonder if we put some PL add ons into Dean and Colin’s transfers!

You missed out the previous paragraph

“My immediate plan is to spend some quality time with my family and, thereafter, hopefully take up some invitations to visit clubs and managers around Europe to develop my aim and objective of becoming a manager.

“It has always been my ambition to move into football management and, providing the right opportunity presents itself, I feel ready to take up such a challenge.”

No I read that but if you think he left Villa not to take up a managerial opportunity straight away you are mistaken. I could be mistaken mind you but don’t think I am :)

Shock horror. Forest sack manager. That should do the trick . Normally does...oh wait.

In the last 10 years no manager has lasted more than 60 games at Nottingham Forest. Hughton is on 52. It's what their self entitled, deluded fans would have wanted.

I’m reading WRDC are agreeing to take a 9 point deduction (3 point deduction held back so long as they behave). Should have been applied last season.

Steve Cooper in the frame for Forest. Would be manager number 29 in 17 years for Forest. 9 of those being caretakers.... a well run club.

Own goal by Harlee Dean and a penalty given away by Ryan Woods 🤷‍♂️
As for Forest’s away kit… 🤮
Plus one of the other goals came after Troy Deeney kicked the ball against the back of one of his teammates......😁😁

Just watched the roundup of the weekend's games.

After seeing Notts Forest's away kit, I wish I hadn't.

Forest probably only allowed him to use the visitors car park.. good luck to him.
Not worth the admin time to get a staff pass?!
