They'd need to average the points tally of a playoff side, where they've averaged around 12th since the start of the season. It's impressive that Rooney is keeping it all together but I just think it's a mission too far.

Derby are only 8 points adrift with 20 games left. They’d be 11th without points deductions.
I think there is a more than reasonable chance they’ll stay up.

Birmingham are winless in 6 and have taken only 6 points from their last 10 games.
If Derby keep picking up points, they could well be sucked into a relegation battle.

Sadly there is also Peterborough and Barnsley in the mix, so both of them would need to go on a bit of a roll.
Derby v Brum. Hogan missed a couple of sitters but got one. Lyle Taylor the first Good cross from Ryan Woods for the second. Brum are like a Bees alternarive reality.
Ref being charitable to Derby as they've got 32K there and have that when youre down youre down feel about them (just had a cert handball stopping a goal).

Charitable is the word.
Last minute equaliser- bloke who headed it across was a good two feet offside, then bloke who scores kicks the defender in the head in doing so at full head height.

Bournemouth going for it with some decent looking signings to try and get them back in the prem. Wont be cheap and shows how much of an achievement it is for clubs like us getting promoted without the parachute payments

Not been following the championship in recent weeks but didn’t realise Barnsley are rock bottom with only two wins all season. How have they fallen so badly considering they made the play offs last season and did a proper job on us last season at home?

Hopefully he keeps scoring, Putney convince themselves he’s good enough for the Orem so spend their money elsewhere then he flops again on their way back down
Pretty sure he signed a 5 year contract not so long ago, so they'll definitely be keeping him for the Prem!

Yes but had he had an ‘average’ season I imagine they’d think that he’d ‘failed’ at the top level multiple times so would be looking to bring in someone alongside/instead of him but if he bangs in 40 goals hopefully they’ll think he’s good enough and not add quality to that area.

Mitro is Prem quality and always has been IMO. The problem is he's either played a system that didn't suit him (Newcastle) or had a whole team of players around him who weren't good enough (Fulham). I don't ever think he's specifically been the problem.

Looks like 3 from 4 to go down and with Barnsley winning against QPR, Reading are only 5 points from the bottom of the Championship.
Reading have lost their last 6 and taken only 2 points from the last 10 games. Lump on them dropping. Could finally bring me closure of that Cureton goal from 20 years ago!

It looks like Derby will stay up, although it sickens me to say it. They should have been relegated automatically. The other 3 teams' form has been dire. I actually hope Barnsley's win yesterday signals an upturn in form and they stay up. Well run club, too.

Agreed. It was quite funny laughing at the ‘superhuman’ fitness claims coming from some Barnsley fans last season but I’d prefer them staying up.

With the benefit of 20 years hindsight although it was gutting at the time to miss auto promotion and then to surrender against Stoke knowing most our best players and an excellent manager in Coppell were off for good, I’m glad we didn’t deliver Noad£s with a promotion. I dread to think how much more he’d have mortgaged the club if we’d gone up or if he hadn’t, how abjectly we’d have done going up and playing a rag tag bunch of sub par players.
