Why not? Inter paid him the remainder of his contract right? He's already been paid the 200k+ a week. That's why game time + environment are the only real two factors to consider

We’ve probably got a fair number on £5k or less which brings the total down a long way. Players like Toney and Ajer would not be here now if they weren’t on a lot more than that.

How much do you reckon we’d need to pay Johnson to play for us if we were willing to shell out £16m+? No way he’d take less than £30k a week if valued that high to buy.

Surely from earning zero to 40k would be ok just hope we can afford this amount would be like 5 million for a 18 month deal.i think other player's should be ok as he will improve team and help other players improve but I guess the other players are on nowhere near 40k a week?

6 months with the option of a further year makes the most sense, don’t want him to come in and then go in the summer if he starts playing really well for us.

I don't really see any negatives to this.

I can't really see him wanting an insane amount of money, he gets to play in London, and a fellow Dane is coach. I said earlier in the thread and will say it again: If he is even 75 percent of what he was, he is still better than most midfielders in the Prem.

Hold on, I thought his contract was paid up because his condition prevents him playing in Serie A,?
He’s wedged up to the back knackers and has choice if he has the hunger and can be bothered. He won’t go back to Spurs, likewise he can’t join Arsenal, if he’s a mercenary he’ll go to Newcastle but if he really wants to prove himself again at a club that cares its BFC all day long

If you paid him 100k a week then it is 7.8 million over 18 months plus bonuses.
You are not paying a transfer fee as he is a free agent.
