If Lyall’s assessment is the correct one based on the current situation, then it could be a long couple of weeks hoping that no obviously better offers present themselves.

Hopefully we manage to get it done somehow!
We are not trying to be the best offer, there will be better offers (financially) guaranteed.

No, of course you’re right. That’s what I meant by ‘obviously’ - an offer where the whole package outweighed the reasons for joining us.

Loving that we’re even looking at it.

Our conversation would have had an offer in it, even if it was an informal one. I agree that neither side are lying.

Harris has good connections with the club, so I assume that would have been published with the club's knowledge. That said it may be another 'come and get me plea' by the Agent, where if they fail to get one then he could come here.

Would be a surreal signing…. With our danish connections it does make a lot of sense if he signs for us. But I have a gut feeling Newcastle will offer him bundles to sign for them just because they can now

Now the cat is out of the bag, I am guessing the surge of mainstream media reporting is solely each channel or outlet churning out a bastardisation of The Athletic script, and not wanting to be seem to be behind the curve. More a case of hot air than a substantial increase in the level of certainty of the outcome.

yes, however a few running it do tend to do a bit more homework

Can’t remember the last time Jensen didn’t get shrugged off the ball …
Waiting for someone to tell me they've got an equivalent Jensen video where he puts two wide, one over the bar, one where he passes it sideways and the final attempt where he gets shrugged off the ball
This is supposed to be a thread where we discuss the exciting prospect of us signing a high class player. Not another slag off Jensen thread, we have enough of those already.

at least we are looking for reinforcements..
Was that ever in doubt, though? I mean the only reason we didn’t land Vanderson was because Monaco (yes Monaco) gazumped us in the last minute. Meantime Mudryk has publicly commented on our interest this window…

You never watched Murray jones play for us if you think that..
I was being a bit flippant, but he's hitting a stationary ball from 20 yards out into the top corner. It's hardly an indication of whether he's still "got it" to play in the PL...

So offer on the table. CE just sits back and waits for 14 days to see if a better one comes in.
Sod him then. If he doesn't want to come here, he can jog on. We only want players that will play for us and bleed red & white. Who does he think he is anyway? He won't do better than us? **

Jay Harris is likely feeling quite smug at the moment. Win win article for him. If the move doesn’t happen, he’s still got loads of social media and website traffic!

Apparently the agent is stalling this … He wants Newcastle 💰 . Eriksen wife wants Bees as in London

Not saying you're right or wrong on this but I would be shocked if Newcastle weren't offering eye watering money to bring him upto St James Park. The hope would be money isn't the only factor in his or agents decision and the rapport with Thomas, being in London and coming to a stable well run club will help us, but if money does become the main factor added to the fact he'd start for Newcastle then it could become too big of an offer to turn down.

No idea if there would be any truth in that but it does make sense...if he wanted to join us for sure he could have done it already. The noises about his future, and now this report, suggest that they're trying to get a bigger fish to bite.

We can give him everything he wants though minus the higher pay packet. Playing in the Prem alongside other Danish national players is a pretty good way to get into the national side again.

Would he start for newcastle? not sure about that, he will be off the pace for some time... They need players now, i cant see Newcastle at all, everyone talking about money like they are throwing it around but they are not doing that.

He'd be up to speed in 4 to 6 weeks hopefully wherever he goes. With Newcastle it's as much about profile than anything else. The owners would love the profile that went with signing him, it would be their Robinho moment at Man City. World class player hopefully fit in 4 to 6 weeks and the worldwide profile the signing would bring, sounds a perfect match for Newcastle's new ownership.

Lets see what happens though, hopefully he becomes a Bee 😊
