6.5 million Twitter followers! Not as random as you think. Probably the most followed football journalist in the world.
Fair point, although unlikely he’s having regular conversations with Phil Giles or going to the pub with Thomas Frank or Matthew Benham.

Agreed but he probably has got the ear of dozens of agents worldwide.

The good news being that they’re both saying the same thing (albeit with a couple of days difference in timescale) so we don’t need to worry too much about who knows more and can all enjoy the fact they are, hopefully, both right and he’s on his way to TW8.

My response to Rob-Bee was intended to reassure him the intel (and thread status change) was likely accurate rather than to criticise the accuracy or legitimacy of the journalist.

You don’t need to read too many posts or threads on the GPG to realise that Banana’s ‘sources’ are closer to the club and their dealings than a random Italian journalist mate.
Why would the tweet be deleted if the news is true?

Maybe he realised the ‘announce tomorrow’ wasn’t true and it’ll be at least 2-3 days as per the fruity one.

I have no idea, I said Banana had connections with the club, not me, I don’t know more than you or anyone else.

Possibly he tweeted a little prematurely ao he agreed to delete for now so as to not impact future intel from those sources or maybe his timescales were wrong (as per Banana’s post yesterday evening) but the overall status of the deal was not.

This isn't a wind up I promise, not a word of a lie, I have never seen Christian Eriksen play. Or at least I've never taken any notice. Until this season I hated all things Premier League and the thought of watching a game bored me to tears. I would literally watch Boston V Telford or something on Hesgoal before I'd switch a Premier game on.

So, serious question, just how good is he? Is all this euphoria over-hyped or is he really a gear up from what we've got already?

I’m his prime years at Spurs he was a world class playmaker, his long range shooting and passing at times was phenomenal. Would suggest giving this a watch.

At his best Tottenham regularly qualified for the Champions League, in his best season they got to the final. When he was out of form and then left, Tottenham lost their regular CL place which says a lot about his importance to that team; imagine the impact he could have on us.

I've no doubt if fit and on form he'd be worth at least three places to any team in the PL.

Lump on Brentford for a Europa League finish this year and Champions League next year then?

I would expect journalists often get the inside track on these things. And I've no doubt Banana does as well, but I've seen an "All but signed" before which didnt come to anything so 🤷‍♂️

Was even mentioned on MOTD last night in the breaking news at the end. Said “C.E. would sign for Brentford in the next 72 hours”. Over 9 hours have passed since then. 😀

I think there is to much noise for this not to happen.

But from the club’s perspective as a whole what a great message to send all around the world about our ambition as a club.
Sends us a few more notches up the ladder globally. Bigger ambition, bigger club, bigger player’s, bigger results.
come and sign here we can fulfil your ambition.

Without tempting fate, i'm already anticipating the reception CE will get when he runs out for the first time...debut off the bench to standing ovations and rapturous applause from every single person in the BCS. Will be an unbelievably special moment that'll become etched into BFC folklore forever. The sort of moment that makes footie so special.

Don't think so...
Who was the fellow that pulled out of a transfer last minute , fee agreed and we had the flight booked for him.

I had a feeling that might have said 'all but signed' - may be wrong.

*edit* - Vanderson, who went to Monaco.

Can't see him choosing Harrow over us. No, not for me. Wait.... nice school for the kids. Still, I think ours send theirs to Eton. Toss-up then. Did the Italian journo mention Harrow?
