Great assists. Needs a ball player next to him and Jensen coming on freed him up.

It has been said elsewhere , we must try very very hard to get him to sign for at least the next season.

Actually works in our favour that the WC is horribly timed. I can see Christian not risking a move for the sake of a few months to move away from a comfortable environment that provides guaranteed starting minutes.

Great isn't he. Worst possible game for him today against a side who bypass midfield all game but a couple of moments of quality and 3 points in the bag.

I disagree that it’s clear cut. The fundamental question is what drives him now. And I don’t think any of us are certain on that point but it may well be a number of non £ related issues where we have a strong case

He was quite until the 85th minute, although he was still on a completely different level than others out there. Its the space he finds, the passes without looking and the simple football.
Nobody in a Brentford shirt would have found Toney like that.

The difference he has made since his comeback. Unbelievable!!! Practically had a hand in 4 goals in two games.
I would be absolutely over the moon to see him stay another season, but if he doesn’t then I wish him the very best wherever he goes. He’s made us so much better, and along with Ivan has been fantastic in probably the 2 biggest games of the season to keep us up. A privilege to watch him play.

He was quiet until Jensen came on as that allowed him to press forward. I assume when JDS is back the same will happen.
Each time we have gone up the divisions over the past ten years or so, I'm amazed at the step up in quality and the Premier League has been the biggest jump. But it still amazes me that world class players like CE are so clearly head and shoulders above other elite footballers and can make so much difference.

That includes us in the stands- everyone around me was shouting “outside, outside” when he got the ball and seemed to dither and shape towards trouble. But he saw a cross none of us thought was on and executed it. Outrageous and the more he plays the more the rest of the team will position to receive.

Shows us how big a step up in quality on the ball there is from Championship to the top levels. Something we'll need to address in the summer I think.

IMO he was not ‘quiet’ at any stage, we lacked possession which meant we didn’t bring him into the game as much as we should have, but he still had a number of passes that drove us forward 40/50 yards and generated attacking phases that we were otherwise massively lacking!
He then plays a pass from a passage of play that would otherwise has been recycled, that possibly keeps us in the Premier League.

Agree, you only need to give players of this level 5 seconds time and space and they can kill you, as we have just witnessed. Hopefully it will allay your fear that Burnley and other teams can basically mark CE out the game from start to end. Although Burnley kept him quiet for long periods they were unable to stop him providing the critical interventions that ultimately won the game for us.

There was a beautiful moment, in the second half, when he was on the right, just outside the penalty area, with 3 Burnley players closing him down and he just switched the ball from his right, to his left foot and completely wrong-footed all 3 of them.

What an asset to have a genuinely two footed creative player like him in the team. World class.His attitude is fantastic too, never any negative antics when a teammate plays a poor pass. Imagine Ronaldo playing for the Bees today instead of CE. Would have been throwing his arms in the air every five minutes. Eriksen just keeps doing the job his team needs him to do.

Different class. One thing is sure though, he's likely to stay in England and with a clear preference for London. Could see Spurs offering him a deal, that doesn't mean he's automatically going to sign. Especially with Conte there, I'm not quite sure how much CE fancies the manager there. He had a very hard start at Inter where Conte kept him on the bench or played him in a much more defensive position.
CE might just enjoy his role at Brentford that he would consider to stay on. All fans keep showing him the love and we'll see

I know a lot is said about our wage structure, but I genuinely don’t believe the other players would begrudge him earning what he’s worth. They know his value to the team, and to them as individuals, especially guys like Toney who will feed off his class.
150k/wk for 2 seasons is 15million, or about the same as what we offered for the likes of Hickey/Johnson, wages excluded.

Wow! What a player. Christian and everyone involved in his signing, even the work experience office bod that printed off his contract, deserve a place in the Hall of Fame.
Don't get me wrong, I know its not job done just yet, but this man has been a revelation.
I'd more or less given up on coming to the BCS again this season, got a lot on and have been dispirited with the scramble for tickets. I'm not tech savvy and rarely available to fumble hopelessly at my laptop when sales open, let alone work out what I'm supposed to do to secure a ticket. I'm just as likely to sign up to sponsor the Ladies B team's two week trip to Antigua as I am to gain entry to the BCS.
Nonetheless, I MUST see this guy in the flesh at least once by fair means or foul. I won't forgive myself otherwise.

I agree we shouldn’t start with that combo but I think you can but only in the last 25/30 of a game when/if things are opening up.
