The magic moments that make Christian Eriksen totally indispensable to Brentford
Brentford fans are in the strange position of delighting in the brilliance of Eriksen's performances and fearing who is taking note of them
Clearly, the writer hasn't go the hang of this Brentford midfield? The irrepressible Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen get through so much work in midfield that defending is not a priority for a player who is undoubtedly most comfortable when looking forward.
Maybe not in a wider context of the season but in terms of Saturday's match it's a reasonable observation.Clearly, the writer hasn't go the hang of this Brentford midfield?
I may be wrong but I think @jlove 's words are possibly facetious?Maybe not in a wider context of the season but in terms of Saturday's match it's a reasonable observation.
No data I'm afraid, but I've got it on good authority that he is helping out in the club shop pre-match and also manning the Box Office phones on a Wednesday! He is a worker indeedDoes anyone have data on how much Eriksen works for Brentford? I Dont think its less than when he was at Spurs? If you want to make him a luxury player anyone, then use facts! He work more than anyone. Despite his small stature![]()
Are you even supporting your club or not?No data I'm afraid, but I've got it on good authority that he is helping out in the club shop pre-match and also manning the Box Office phones on a Wednesday! He is a worker indeed
I'm sorry, but I'm confused by this question and it's relevance to Mr Eriksen? I don't have the spare time to be offering my services to the club shop or box office, so does that make me less of a fan?Are you even supporting your club or not?
Bore off. Stop preaching. Concentrate on your own club who ditched him.Are you even supporting your club or not?
But we all know that... who are you talking to?Does anyone have data on how much Eriksen works for Brentford? I Dont think its less than when he was at Spurs? If you want to make him a luxury player anyone, then use facts! He work more than anyone. Despite his small stature![]()
Danish media resently reported that United had been in for him three times during his career, but that he and Levy had turned them down each time.
If he's got any sense (and it looks like he very much does) then there's absolutely no way he'll want to go there. Car crash territory. Going to take them years to sort out. He'll have zero guarantee of playing time and there seems to be little in the way of team spirit there. He could end up with a huge wad of cash but be sat in the stands for months.Danish media resently reported that United had been in for him three times during his career, but that he and Levy had turned them down each time.
Don't know if true or not...but if so - they might want him again.
0.01 to 0.02% chance apparently……
possibly..So to summarise all the newspapers reports into one sentence, he “might” or “could” stay or leave.
Not sure to be fairI may be wrong but I think @jlove 's words are possibly facetious?
Reading it again, I’m not sure either. In the sense that Eriksen does put in a good defensive shift, albeit of a different nature to that of Norgaard and Jensen. So the journalist is quite wrong in this regard. Not sure to be fair![]()
Raya coming back helped a lot too. Both our reserve goalies weren’t very good.Good article and I think it tried to be fair and balanced. I don't remember one player making such a significant difference to a PL team from January onwards, it's been unbelievable. Maybe Tevez and Mascherano had as much of an impact in where West Ham finished away back but that was two players and well the deals were strange.
Credit to the club, our model is perfect, the stats are used well but sometimes from a basic football perspective a world class player can just make the team better and remind us for all the models, good people in the background it's footballers who can make a difference.
Yeah - personaly do not think he would go there either. If he's got any sense (and it looks like he very much does) then there's absolutely no way he'll want to go there. Car crash territory. I agree and a player like CE is worth nothing if the team around him isn't working. CE was exactly what the team needed to click, but the team was also exactly what he needed to succeed.Raya coming back helped a lot too. Both our reserve goalies weren’t very good.

Surprise club going after Brentford star - ‘Special rumour’, club director knows him very well - Sport Witness
Belgian side Antwerp are eyeing a move for Christian Eriksen in the summer transfer window, should he leave Brentford. That’s according to analyst Eddy Snelders, who says there is a ‘special rumour’ that Antwerp chief Marc Overmars could look to sign the former Ajax man. Eriksen joined Brentford...sportwitness.co.uk
Idk it’s a “special rumour”!!!No chance
"Reports now suggests that Christian Eriksen will play between 1 and 80 PL games within the next two years. It is believed that the danish international is close to sign for one of 20 english PL clubs or go abroad to either Spain, Belgien, Germany, France, Thailand or back to Denmark." Tier 342.
Lol such an easy job being a football journalist....
Amazing that only 6 clubs are mentioned in the April PL team of the month, and that we are one of them, plus having 2 players in the line up.Makes who scored team of the month alongside Ivan.
Fantastic odds. Just put £100 on.I've stuck £25 on him to stay with us at 5/4 on SkyBet![]()
I guess it depends on how we have budgeted. If we were to say budgeted £15m for an attacking midfielder, and, we could use that as wages for CE, over 3 years that this just shy of £100k PWDoes anyone know if we have the finances to keep him? At the end of the day even if he wants to stay can we afford to give him a respectable offer?
A modest stake when you're 99.99% he's staying?Fantastic odds. Just put £100 on.
TF has publicly stated he wants to keep him. So I guess the answer to your question is yes CB.Does anyone know if we have the finances to keep him? At the end of the day even if he wants to stay can we afford to give him a respectable offer?
It's not a source of income for meA modest stake when you're 99.99% he's staying?
Different bits of budget. If CE starts a bidding war on wages beyond a small uplift I think we’ll just shake hands early and let him go because pushing the boat out for £100k is pointless when Newcastle csn just offer him £150k without blinking.I guess it depends on how we have budgeted. If we were to say budgeted £15m for an attacking midfielder, and, we could use that as wages for CE, over 3 years that this just shy of £100k PW
Aren't there laws against insider trading? It's not a source of income for me
Anyway, for some reason my bet wasn't accepted and the odds are now 5/6
Are we favouritesI've stuck £25 on him to stay with us at 5/4 on SkyBet![]()
This is one favourite that should land for meAre we favourites![]()
Agreed.Getting back to Jensen I think CE has brought out the best in him and made him a better PL player since his arrival
Get back to Eriksen please, as this is the Eriksen thread.Getting back to Jensen I think CE has brought out the best in him and made him a better PL player since his arrival
