Never one to look at paper talk, but as its splashed all over BBC sport, im really ****** off at the "United in pole position as Spurs drop out" headlines, as though we are just some insignificant piece of rubbish that havent ever been in the running because of the "Giants" that have stepped in.
Makes me want him to sign for us even more now to shut those absolute idiots up.

Ten Haag might have sold him some ideas on how he's going to change that, maybe with CE at the centre of that.

I think if it was MU without TH then he'd have already signed on the dotted line for us, but TH changes that dynamic massively.

Fingers crossed his wife and kids hate the idea of either moving again, or him commuting regularly to Manchester!

He’s under no pressure to sign anything right now, perhaps when he’s settled back after his holiday he’ll get round to it.

Even if he has it’s still a 3 year project. If CE wants a project, surely stick with one you already known and have seen for yourself the trajectory from the inside.

From our perspective, yes. But Man U in their worst season for years still finished in a European qualification spot. They finished second the season before. If Ten Haag is decent they don’t need a lot beyond getting the team to play properly with a sense of purpose and shape to challenge top 4 again this season and they’ve got both money and a big brand to attract players.

Spot on. They won’t need a lot IMO to be challenging again. Management structure and players that want to play for the team and head coach.

They’ve also got a good chance to do a full deadwood clear out without fan opposition. I’d be more concerned about them buying Norgaard than CE as he’d make a huge difference to their otherwise porous midfield and be a big upgrade on McTominay.

Who wouldn't like to have Manchester United on their CV? .... that, and a fantastic wage, are the pluses, and let's face it, a huge draw.
Perhaps not starting every game, sometimes on the bench, and trying to keep form for the World Cup, is perhaps the downside.

At Brentford, he would start every game (when available), achieve almost cult status, and give himself every chance of fitness going into the World Cup.
So, for him, a personal decision to be made.

Now we come to his partner (& family) ....... would she prefer to give up all of her Danish friends, living in leafy Richmond, with good schools all around ......or, end up in Gorton, all alone, and hitting the bottle? ....... surely a no-brainer for her!

He's STAYING! :hat:

Absolutely agree, but I do realise the flip side could be him signing for Man U and all those idiots then rubbing salt in our wounds by laughing at our stupidity in thinking he would sign for little old insignificant rubbish like Brentwood :mad:
