Description sounds like he'll suit the English game. I like the length of contract too.

Sky Italia report this at 4m€, which is the fee Fiorentina paid, so I guess that's an easy guess.

Whatever, welcome to the Club and welcome to London, Christian. I guess you are the first Thomas Frank signing...

A defensive midfielder. Hooray. Great start to the summer. Exactly what we needed most.
(along with a striker in case Magic is lurking)

Whilst this seems potentially an excellent signing as he appears to have done very well at Brondy, does anyone have any idea why he only played 6 games in a full season at Fiorentiana? Was he perhaps injured for some/much of the season or perhaps his face didn't fit there(?).

Anyway, welcome to the club!

Injured then face didn't fit, think Fiorentina went through several head coach changes in the season just gone.

Fiorentina have had a poor season, I think Vincenzo Montella's has replaced the out-going coach who presumably had some hand in this signing last summer. Not sure why you would sign a player to fill a certain position(s) and then not use them. Find it hard to interpret it either way tbh.

He was on the bench for all the games he didn't start, apart from a couple when he was injured. They seem to play 3-5-2 mainly, so maybe he was just a Plan B.

Will never be as exciting as £167,000 for Eddie May from Falkirk,

Remember doing World XIs at school and for a couple of years Gabriel Batistuta of Fiorentina was your nailed on striker and a pipe dream for even the biggest clubs in England. Italian football has changed a bit but not

as much as Brentford have. Amazing stuff and nothing to not like about this signing :sorted:

A good sign that he is willing to work with Franks again

Welcome Christian! This is a statement of intent and determination to fix our shortcomings; more than £3.5m according to most sources is probably a record fee for us. Height, physicality but still trained the Brentford way having worked with Frank before. Exciting.

Unreal signing from Seria A. Seria A!!!

I'd imagine he is on a fair old whack wages wise? £10/15k...
