This is terrible news and doesn't feel like we are prepared for it to be honest. Ah well

Janelt looked quite a way off the pace in a B team game against Aldershot Town. Not sure he’s ready to step up yet... This is a massive blow ☹

not good news this.. Wonder whether we'll be tempted to go 3 at the back for the tough away games? Would help Pontus/Dalsgaard out to have an extra man at the back.

With Baptiste still injured leaves us a little short in midfield options for the umpteen games we have over the next few weeks. Wonder if Maghoma will be drafted into the squad? Don't suppose we can recall Oksanen??

Can only recall in windows so if we don't do it in the next 20 mins we can't till Jan.

Frank says in his pre match interview that 'obviously we'll need someone to step up'. Says Jensen, DaSilva or Baptiste can play there. Also says Janelt is looking really sharp in training and he's looking forward to showing him to the fans, is in the squad for tomorrow..

Can’t believe we’ve not signed experienced cover. 8 weeks is a lot of games. Da Silva would be wasted in that position, Jensen not that player, Baptiste injured.

Where do we get experienced cover at this short notice? Not going to happen. We've bought Janelt specifically for this purpose, hopefully he'll be up to it. Frank says Baptiste is very close to returning.. Alternatively we can go 3 at the back. It's not ideal but we've got options..

Short notice? We needed cover anyway wether CN was fit or not. Going three at the back because our central midfield isn’t good enough? If Janelt is ready fair enough, if he’s not then it’s that’s really disappointing.

The way people talk about Janelt getting up to speed you'd think he'd just been released from an Iranian prison not signed from Bundesliga 2. Huddersfield and Norwich both got promoted on the back of half a dozen signings each from that league. Ideally we'd ease him in a bit more but I'd rather see him lining up against Coventry than Ben bloody Watson.

As Coventry are likely to sit back and try to be hard to break down, I'd play Jensen in the holding role again tomorrow.

But in Norgaard's absence and until Janelt is up to speed, I agree with suggestions that there might be games where a 3-4-3 is the way to go. That way two of Jensen, Emiliano & Dasilva can share sitting duties, whilst having extra cover behind them in defence. We could even play MJ & EM in the middle and push JDS to the inside right position where he can be effective running forwards, allowing us to give Mbeumo a break. The right wing-back position could be the making of Fosu/Canos.

One thing's for sure with CN out of the picture we definitely need Pontus to pull his finger out and show some real leadership from now on.. Big responsibility on him and Dalsgaard to push the team through this..

A loan till January could have covered this.
Who would you suggest? Someone with Championship experience who could drop into our side easily and pick up our style of play at a moments notice but who wasn't wanted by their club?
