we say that every year and we generally don't! Trouble is no matter how good the side looks, they'll have never played together.. Still think we definitely need to rest the majority of the first team but suggest we don't expect too much of a cobbled together team of B teamers and fringe first teamers..

Not great but I would like the entire first eleven to have a rest until QPR with maybe a few on the bench v Stoke just in case.

Showed what we missed at Millwall. He's absolute quality, reads the game so well, wins tackles, intercepts but is also very creative and progressive with his passing. Can't be too long before he gets his first goal for us either. Such a quality signing

What stands out to me is that he had 116 touches, and completed 92 out of his 100 attempted passes. Albeit against 10 men, he really helped us control that game.

I would say he is our most important player. He is vital for us. What a signing.

Excellent again - several important tackles to prevent them breaking away. Must start every game when fit.

Love this bloke - absolute class. Something about him reminds me of Ivan Drago, not sure if anyone has shook his hand on here but I imagine him having a vice like handshake (without him even realising).

Unbelievable today. Not only made incredible tackles and protected the back four well, but also passed it around brilliantly. Been a major factor in our brilliant goal against record this season.

Loved that crunching tackle he did 2nd half when it bounced up and hit the ref from the force of it. Top player

So so so good, first name on the team sheet for me. As much as Pontus and Ollie are crucial, Christian is just everywhere and involved in both halves of the pitch, protects the back four and starts attacks.... the player we have been missing for many many years!

You've said it all though. It's what every quality team needs, ie. a string spine. Doesn't come much better in this league than Raya, Pontus / Ethan, Christian and Ollie

Christian - immense in deep midfield. Controls the centre of the pitch.
Breaks up the visitors play, so many intercepting tackles, and drives us forward.

He’s skilful, always in the right place, physical in challenges, gets stuck in, and really competes for the team.
Not the glamour job of the team, but he’s a major unsung hero!

Plus it was his pass that set up Mbeumo’s goal!

What I also get excited about is, like Mbuemo and Jensen, he is still getting used to the game over here - the ceiling is high for all of them.

I said a while ago that he was probably the most important purchase we’ve made and it’s proving just so. Absolutely awesome yesterday

MOM for me, was everywhere, also took on the creative responsibility that Mokotjo and DaSilva were struggling with...
