Obviously a fantastically talented player and I want him back in the team, but he does seem a bit injury prone.
Really? My perception is that he hardly missed a game last season. Anyone can get a nasty injury and thanks to that outrageous ‘tackle’ v Newcastle it’s been exacerbated.

Does he? I recall him missing WBA last season and that was about it. Then he’s had an ankle injury this season!
missed the start, too. "injury prone" is a farcical label to throw on him though :D it's a contact sport and he's had some contact knocks, it happens?!?

He barely missed a game last season and has suffered two contact or impact injuries.
And, while he had injury issues at Fiorentina, he was pretty much ever present at Brondby for two seasons before he left Denmark. I think he may be a bit too willing to play through pain. I wished he hadn't played on against Preston and probably should have come off against Newcastle given the way he was walking after the final whistle.

Yes he does seem so, however, he does play in an extremely combative position, and to add to that he tends not to take any prisoners. I do think that with his style, and way of playing he is bound to sustain injuries. We certainly do not want him to change as he brings so strength to the defensive midfield position and so much to the team.

He got injured in a pre season game and missed about 2-3 games, after that not sure he missed any.

Excellent news. Fa Cup game probably too soon for him but would be a good game to start in given Leicester midfield players won’t be looking to take chunks out of him!
He won't be playing for at least 3-4 weeks I'd imagine but at least there seems to be positive news that he won't be out for too long

Thomas was also asked on the latest with Christian Norgaard:

"It will still be some weeks until we see him competing to get into the squad. We will be a tiny bit more conservative this time to make sure he is a bit stronger so that if he is unlucky he can get through that"

Two key players out for several weeks now, not good.

We need cover for Janelt / Pontus IMO (and dont shoot me) - just a couple of loans would do.

Depends on how long Racic and Norgaard are out for - can see us keeping what we have if it is only 2-3 weeks

It doesn't seem like us to leave ourselves a bit short when the league is very close this year, cover for Henry & Midfield, possibly OK at CB
although Pontus probably wont play much this season if any.

Bidstrup coming back to fitness is probably cover for Janelt.

Julien Carre is more up to speed and match fit than MB currently, but yeah, MB is the one who'll come through.
Carre hardly plays though, I don't think they feel he's up to scratch. Hammar has been playing in the DM role (and quite successfully) but he seems to have disappeared recently, along with KOC2 and Joe Adams.. Either more injured or looking at other clubs?

Maybe I’m being pessimistic but this sounds more than 3-4 weeks 😕

I think a big problem in getting over the line last season was that incredible run of wins took its toll on a pretty small squad and with us already having to make up games I’m worried we may run of steam at the wrong time.

Not sure what the solution is. Loans good enough to make a real difference are hard to find even if the club wanted to go down this route, especially ones that would fit our style of play.

Can't see many teams in this league that we'd need to play 2 DMs against tbh..
I want our 3 best midfielders together, as before my view, im not a fan of Jenson or Marcondes. I would want to get our best goalscoring midfielder further forward and not to worried about his defending.

Well, I suspect you'll be disappointed as ever! Tomorrow night would have been a good game to start with both if possible, keep it tight and counter but in general I'm pretty sure we'll rotate them and maybe bring the pair on together to close games out.

Disagree with that. At Swansea what we really need to avoid is getting pinned in our own half. We need ball players in midfield who can get us up the pitch.
So that will be Janelt, Jensen and DaSilva to start then.
