Whilst a Bees fan first of all, I am also a member and follower of Clapton CFC, albeit one who has not attended a game for some time. I was pleased to take the opportunity to see the ladies outfits of both sides on the same pitch today.

In the style of the "non-Bees games" thread from Football World:

Sunday 25th October
Clapton CFC Women 3 - 1 Brentford Women - Greater London Women’s Football League Premier
Free programme - 4 colour pages
Attendance 125.
No alcohol on sale today though there is a bar in the complex that wasn't open today. Some had brought their own cans.

We missed the first few minutes despite a taxi from the pub. Some things never change...

Two teams came in to the game with identical points, goal difference and goals scored after 4 and 5 games - both had won 3 out of 4 / 5.
The Bees were making all the play for the first 10 minutes but Clapton played a perfectly weighted through ball down the left after 10 minutes for an easy one on one finish. The equaliser was similar...a run and shot from the left.
From then on Clapton had the edge. The second goal was a corner from the right that seemed to be caught and spilled by the keeper over the line...oh dear. Judge for yourself HT 2-1.
Yet another move down the left and finish made it 3-1 to Clapton. A couple of good chances for the Bees to make it 3-2.

Plenty of enthusiastic coaching from Karleigh on the touchline - lots of instructions to individual players. A Bees delegation that seemed to number at least 5 or 6. No noticeable away cheering for our goal other than the players and bench... I must be a bit louder next time.

Hard to know what to make of the standard as it was the first womens' game I've ever attended and I regret I cannot name any of the players on either side. The short clip of the Clapton players speaking afterwards said they thought it was a scrappy game.

The pitch was an absolute quagmire especially in front of the main stand where there's no sun...you had to be careful not to stand in the mud even back from the touchline.

Clapton's social media operation is pretty good you can see some pictures and clips here https://twitter.com/ClaptonCFC
The whole game was broadcast online from one touchline camera, you can actually watch it back by scrolling a few tweets down if you are so inclined.

Will try and post a few pics of my own in a minute.

The cover star of the programme by the way is Chelsie Osborne who tore her ACL last week and was there on crutches.

PS too late to edit the original post....entry was free but tickets had to be ordered online in advance. Suggested donation was £3 for adults.

Chap count please
Not sure if liberal Clapton have "chaps"

Ahh well... that clip of the corner goal was filmed in the noisy corner with people banging the stand and banging a drum. It was very sparse apart from that corner.

Oh and someone was asking about kit in another thread....Bees ladies were playing in the brown and orange of 18/19 yesterday, with Utilitia sponsorship.
