I think he would, but not overly so.

Hopefully we'll save him the dilemma. Just stand off him every time he gets possession and let him have a one on one with the keeper and we'll be fine.
Did you see him score against Tractor Boys when one-on-one?

Good to watch. I won't like him for 90 minutes tomorrow but will always be thankful for all the effort he gave us. He actually sounded like he wouldn't be too upset if we beat them tomorrow.
He didn't did he

"He only went for the money"
Really?????

My understanding is the terms offered by Brentford were a lot better when you factor in the performance related pay which was not designed to get untenable targets!!!

He had an agreement in principle to sign whe. He returned from honeymoon and then went back on that prefering a higher basic salary rather than Brentford incentivised offer..

Personally his lack of acknowledgement of Brentford and how we assisted him is telling of this dustbin who is a mercenary of the highest order!!

Even the very best wheelie bins can be replaced and clayton is no different. We have upgraded on the clayton tip top bin model with a more efficient German one...

Lets not believe the nonsense that clayton left for more money he left because he didn't care and is a self centred prat

He switched jobs, have you ever done that ? God forbid he should do what he feels is best for him.

As for labelling him a self centred prat, I'm struggling to think how that correlates with his time here. He was the epitomy of a team player. Don't be such a tool.

We would not be in the Championship for the first time in 20 years without him.
He did the job he was brought here to do, and didn't leave before the job was done.
He always gave 100% in every game, even playing on through a bad personal situation last year.
Great ambassador for the club, Community Player of the Year two years running.

And yet people won't even give him the decency of a little applause before kick off, some even talking about booing.

Pathetic.
Spot on

Thought he looked a bit tentative in the media clip about his return to GP. Don't think he is relishing it somehow. Would gladly applaud him for what he did for us. Wonder if MW will put Moses on his wing to cover his pace?

Didn't look like a dive to me in all honesty, don't think the ref really needed to show red though.

Looked a pen although he never needed much encouragement to go down when he played for us

I hope you happy Clayton clappers are happy ..

Dirty diving cheat..
if one of our strikers got in a similar position with the defenders arm up i'd want them to go down unless they were going to bury it in the net. But from where I was looked a clear penalty. I clapped him when he approached the dugout, great servant for us, end of.

Agreed. I clapped him off. He worked so hard for us. Never gave in. Often treated roughly by opponents but always kept going.

Other than the incident which was Craig's fault I thought Clayton did very little today. Not at his best.

Thought he was a lot better than Thomas and kept our back 4 on their toes, very similar to how he played for us when up top. They lost all their attacking threat when he came off, but the 451 didn't help either.

I booed and abused him, not because I don't like him but because he's an opposition player and I want to see him fail (today).

Overall though I thought Grey was a lot more threatening and held the ball up better, particularly second half.

First time ive seen him subbed.
Very true. I bet Dean and Tarks were pleased to see him go as well because although he was quiet, they would know how dangerous he is. As for the penalty, he did what he had to do so no complaints and he didn't make a big thing about it.

I thought the booing today was good humoured, more 'pantomime villian' than genuine dislike - which I suspect is how Clayton saw it. Thankfully, apart from the penalty incident, he didn't do any damage, but looked threatening and as capable as he was when he was a bee.

If you booed him whatsoever you need to have a massive reality check.

What a ****ing joke.

It's banter and for the record I didn't boo him because I only boo players who I think can hurt us with the ability to play football.

You mean like he normally does?
With the greatest of respect, are you trolling or just stupid ? Are you seriously suggesting that a player who scored 20 goals two seasons running and who was instrumental on our promotion was a consistently poor performer for us ?

Anyway not wanting an argument over it, time will tell who got the better deal Birmingham or Brentford.
