Here's the letter sent to all PSHers today.

In summary, it seems
  • They do not have to pay any money until the ground is safe for 100% capacity to return
  • They have FREE access to iFollow for all home games, and some away games
  • They get the OPTION to purchase tickets for matches when some supporters are allowed back
  • They get first dibs on a tour.

In the meantime, comms to STHers are heavily hinting that refunds are not forthcoming.

Following on from Jon Varney’s previous update by email in May, I hope this email finds you safe and well.

I’m sure you will agree, despite missing out on promotion, the Bees enjoyed a strong season finishing third, our best league position in 70 years. Looking ahead, we remain optimistic and excited to get the ball rolling for the 2020/21 campaign in our new home.

We were delighted to recently announce the stadium’s practical completion, quickly celebrating this milestone with a victory in the Carabao Cup to mark our first competitive game in our new home. For those of you that watched the game on TV I’m sure you will agree that our new stadium looks fantastic and is the envy of many clubs up and down the country. Despite the challenges around the pandemic, Brentford Football Club has experienced a huge demand for seats, and we are pleased to report that Season Tickets have hit record numbers and our Premium areas have reached capacity, we thank you for your tremendous support.

As a Premium Seat Member, we are looking forward to inviting you to an exclusive stadium tour when Government guidelines allow. We will be able to give you the first glimpse of the South Stand areas including your respective lounge and luxury seating area. You will receive an email about how to book your place on a tour soon, which will be for one person per seat bought and will comply to Covid-19 safety advice.
New Stadium
We now know that the beginning of the season will be behind closed doors with fans being able to return at a later date under reduced capacities, before full capacity is allowed. Until full capacity is available the Club will not be requesting any season ticket payment for Premium Seats from our members. Please be assured your seat remains reserved and the Club will be in touch on a regular basis with updates, and will confirm as soon as full capacity is allowed and your monthly payments can commence.

We are delighted to confirm that the Club will be providing you with complimentary access to watch all home and all mid-week away games via the EFL’s iFollow platform. You will receive codes to access iFollow until we are all allowed back in the stadium at full capacity, when your membership will commence. Your first code will be sent next week for the match against Huddersfield Town on 19 September.

During reduced capacity games, for those members interested in coming to games, the Club will be able to offer a limited number of match-by-match Premium Seat packages, exclusively available to members only to purchase. We will be in contact about this process shortly.

To reconfirm your direct debits which were due to start in June have been put on hold until we are able to have a full capacity stadium. Once this is set up, you will receive your season ticket packs and premium lounge lanyards and further information on how to use and enjoy your membership.

Again, we would like to thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you all at our new home in the near future. Please contact a member of the Premium Services Team if there is anything we can help with via premiumseating@brentfordfc.com.

Best Wishes from everyone at Brentford FC.

Not great then. They offered refunds last season. As a household we are now down to half a salary between us ! Would be nice to be offered something even if it's money off next season. Don't want bloody ifollow.

Seems pretty sh*tty that the premium season ticket holders don’t have to pay anything... but regular season ticket holders won’t get any sort of refunds? I’m surely understanding that wrong.

They can **** off in future then, no chance of me buying one while the pandemic hangs over us and can see tickets become useless at any second, a situation that could last years. Pick and choose a few games a season will have to do me.

At least we have a new font for the website.

Premium Seat Holders have made a substantial payment some time ago for licences. The payment suspension is for the 12 monthly DD's.

Some have. Some haven’t. And define “substantial”. Plus it is a multi-year or once in a lifetime payment.

you reckon?

no premium st holder have had to pay any DD yet.

whereas, households with one, two, three, four, five etc etc STs have coughed up in FULL!!

they get f all. No tour. No free iFollow.

this club is turning into a sh*te one. Off the field.

get your priorities right Jon Varney.

support your core supporters. Not those that pay a big whack.

many have lost their jobs. Taken pay cuts. Etc etc......

I heard through a different grapevine! that ST holders will be offered 2 options, defer your ST until next season forfeiting access to games this season or keep this year's ST with iFollow and access to games once/if fans are allowed

Premium seat holders will have paid the license fee attached to buying their seat. License fees range from £4,000 to £600 (not including VAT) I’m in the legends lounge so have already paid £720 (inc VAT) Club statement means I will not pay the £99 a month rolling fee until full capacity is permitted.

Neither of which come close to the offer they are making to premier seat hikers. And that isn’t good enough imho.

Indeed but that 720 covers forever (or can do). Dugout season ticket holders have paid £700 too. Others half of that. For one season. Not a lifetime.

I've paid £1440 already for the right to pay £200/month by DD.

I may be crazy but premium seat holders have ponied up already.

How are those that pay a big whack NOT core supporters?
I'm fortunate to be able to do so but if I'd known Covid was coming I may have acted differently.

Thank you for sharing your figures.

I have paid over £600 for STs for me and the kids. As our outlay to date is comparable, I would expect a similar offering from the club.

Even appreciating that it’s a guessing game at the moment, it very much feels like rank and file ST holders are going to get an inferior offering.

I can recall certain posters being derided not so long ago for suggesting that premium ST holders would get priority for away tickets. If this is anything to go by, it seems like quite a realistic possibility.

I should have added that this situation is exactly what BIAS are for. I’m sure that @hobbsy et al have been putting pressure on JV but if there is not a serious and credible offering to all ST holders, then it’s a massive failing all round.

I would be happy to have ifollow for each home game PLUS £10-15 off next seasons s ticket per game missed through the virus. That seems fairer.

No refunds is a bit sh*t.
It's a difficult situation for the club however as Wanderer Paul advised people's circumstances could have changed dramatically.
I hope that a solution is found for everybody 👍

Those in premium seats have paid for the right to buy a season ticket for their premium seat for as long as they want it.

As of this moment, they’ve paid nothing for any right to access games this season. The rest of the ST holders have, but won’t get anywhere near the same deal. It’s disgusting.

Lets not turn this into premium versus 'normal' STHs, the premium lot are getting a fair deal and that is to the clubs credit.

But the 'offer' that englandbee posted absolutely stinks of Brentford fans being mugged right off. Pittman-esque levels of sh*thousery quite frankly.

You are core supporters, there’s no issue there.

But there’s another point you inadvertently raise here. The club are effectively refunding those who likely can afford any negative impacts from the pandemic the most. Those likely on less money, more likely to be furloughed / lost their jobs, have been told the club will do what they can to avoid paying any refunds. You don’t see a problem with that?

"So in return for my >£600 outlay for STs, I may get a return of £230 worth of iFollow codes"

When you put it like that it, it really is a sh*tty deal.

Made even worse when you consider some are paying rather less than £600 for their ST, while others with 3 or 4 ST holders in their family will have shelled out a good deal more than that, yet (I assume) everyone gets the same £230's worth of vouchers.

Except that if some of our home games are on SKY - hence (I think) no iFollow - it won't even be worth £230.

That's if it ever was - I don't think much of iFollow if I'm honest.(n)

Yep. 5 home games on Sky will reduce the offering to £180.

Any chance of a poll on which one peeps will go for if these are to be the proposed options ?
Might be useful for Hobbsys meeting on Monday.

I'm leaning towards defer, although the Stoke offer which seems to be the best of both worlds would be first choice.

I have paid for 2 season tickets and was likely to give the cost as a donation. Now with these different aka unfair deals I have changed my mind. Not impressed by what the club are suggesting.

As a STH if they said to me ifollow + money off next year I'd think that was fair. Even if they said ifollow, and then a third of the balance for a ST for next year, a third off food / drink or from merchandise and a third donated I'd happily accept that.

This is what I suggested/ suggest. Seems the fairest option by a long way. I'm sure the club will make something out of ifollow anyway ( I presume anyway).

I do see a problem with that and have posted something along those lines too.
My initial response was to the post I quoted.
I hadn't seen or heard of any club proposals prior to Banana's suggestion that England Bee was correct in his whispers.
If I lose my job, I can't afford it full stop.
I would be mortified to come across as that arrogant and blind to other people's struggles. I know they are real. Like I said, I'm lucky( thus far).
I hope something that is agreeable can be organised for all STH's.
I'm happy with what the club has offered here.
I hope you and others will be too 🤞

Wow that’s a kick in the nuts. I’ve got a good mind to see how my credit card company feel about this, force a full refund and spend it on the next 4 years season tickets at Wealdstone.

Why don't we all wait a see what the club offer first. Before all going mad.
To be fair, they’ve already said they don’t want to offer refunds to normal season ticket holders, so it’s a kick in the teeth to see them offer it to premium season ticket holders.

Redundancies being made all around including my employers mean I will demand a refund for any games I do not go to. Not interested on I follow as I no longer have a tv after I put my boot through during the play offs.

the offers have been sort of mentioned on here. It’s whether the Club takes note of the GPG and act upon it in some way. Fingers crossed they do. Otherwise things are going to change my end.

so we’re in effect being asked to gamble on whether matches get played this season in front of fans and if they don’t we’ve paid up £700 for an ifollow pass and nothing else.

Because if the offer was going to be anywhere near as reasonable as that being offered to Premium ST holders, the club would have published it by now.

@Banana has already posted what the current offer looks like. And it’s crap. The club needs to be called out on it.

If we cancel our season ticket can we get a full refund?
I believe that’s one of two options. Full refund and “bye” until next season. It’s whether your seat is held For you or opened up to new people.

I know, I understand that.

I’m just fuming about my own situation (4 STs) and probably many other GA st holders too.

There doesn’t seem to be any thought about those 10,000 who have paid in full.

I don't mind them having my £400 which has gone anyway. What I do expect is something in return for my £17.39 a match and I don't mean ifollow or a programme. Take it off the cost of next years season ticket. If in the unlikely event we get in during 2020, they will get most of it this season .. Just looking for a fair solution - not saying have it all back now and get stuffed!

Im sorry but if its a case of no refund and watch it on ifollow with the "possibility" of a few live games this season, then that is a **** show from the club. I thought JV was meant to be a fan?? I understand premium ST holders have forked out but so has the normal ST holder and its all relative to what you can afford. How about money off next years ST or carrying this one over to next season?

BFC have just completed a £28mill+ sale of a player FFS.

It stinks. I will be seriously considering making this years ST my last.

£400 to watch games on ifollow no thanks. We really are an amateur club off the park.

But rest easy we've got some lovely new fonts/graphics
