How were Surrey average before they got Ramprakash ?, they had won the county championship two years in a row before he joined.
A very good point jmcp. Can't imagine why they would have wanted him in that case. Risk distrurbing a winning formula? Amazing guy that Ramprakash. Helped Surrey win the Championship before he even played for them.:D :fishing:

Good to see two fine servants of the game, David Fulton and Darren Lehman, bowing out of their county careers on a high with centuries.

rubbish season for middlesex.

Silverwood was the only decent bowler, batting line-up was pretty surperb it has to be said. but good god, the bowling was shameful.

Cameron White made the highest score in the 4th innings of a first class match, 260* vs Derbyshire.

Mushtaq Ahmed was leading wicket taker for the 4th season running. The first since Tich Freeman's 8 (1928-35)

HD Ackerman, highest score for Leicestershire, 309
Justin Langer, highest score for Somerset, 342 - also the highest individual innings in a total then beaten by the team batting second. (compredez??)

5 Triple Centuries, a new English season record, beating 3 (1899, 1934, 1990, 2003, 2004)

Thought there was a difference between the red ball bowled in County Cricket and the red ball bowled in Test Match cricket. :scratch:
