We cant blame injuries and we cant blame playing more games. We had the chance to address this in January. We decided to bring in one player and he can only play one game a week. Totally gutted feel sick, I dont blame TF or the players the damage was done in January. We badly needed extra bodies in certain areas, but I dont know where the issues lies. Was it Mr Benham or the DOFs, if you dont invest when you are third in the table on a 16 game unbeaten run when are you. To me it was a no lose gamble, they may have got us promoted they may not of done. But if we dont go up I would expect Dasilva, Henry, Toney & Raya to leave for a possible 60 million plus.
I don’t think there is such a thing as a ”no lose gamble”. Say we bought more players but still didn’t go up? Also painful as it is to say, it is not our (the fans) money to spend

Next game Sorensen will be left, Reid in the middle and we will tweak formation accordingly. That’s my guess.

Some of the criticism on here is pathetic Where were these fair weather jokers that purport to be fans in League 2? Probably latched onto whatever team in the Premier that had strung together a long unbeaten run and were sitting on top of the league. I get that it is disappointing, but to accuse the club of arrogance for example is way OTT.

I'm more optimistic than most it seems but today has been f***ing sh*t. We need to, very quickly, shake this week off and try and rebuild our confidence. We look like the side fighting to stay up here not going for promotion.

I agree we should have strengthen but easy to forget that we have 3 central midfielders on the payroll in Baptiste, Marcondes and Norrgaard... all injured but stil part of the wage bill. When football finances are really challenged probably not easy to being in 2 or 3 more.

What a flat feeling. We were coasting and look to have now lost 3 games that, on paper, were very winnable.

Teams have found us out. Press us at the back, slow the game with cheap fouls and put lots of crosses in. Thomas needs to find his plan b, and quick, or any chance of automatics will be gone.

We will not be a top 2 side this season no chance. We now have lost Rico one of our best attacking outlets to be replaced moving forward by Bech Sorensen or Roerslev( that’s a real worry) We are completely toothless up top without Toney which is proven today.

The fact that all this hurt has been inflicted in less than six full days is the understandable heart of the problem.Regroup, stay strong keep together and that's just the fans.

Does anybody actually know why Thomas was hounded out of his last job?
Fell out with the chairman who then started posting stuff about TF on his clubs message board I think

Good move, but too little too late.

Same for every club, difference is Watford, Bournemouth, Swansea and Norwich all have better squads that us.
And Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich have all had very similar runs to this present Bees one, with Swansea likely due another one sooner or later.

So maybe the problem is not that fatigue has caused us to "fall off the horse", but rather how we pick ourselves up, gather our senses and get back on it again.

The next few games will tell us more.

I think we are seeing the reality of a small club trying to achieve promotion to the Premiership. Without deep pockets it's a long haul.

If all 11 players put in the desire and effort Mads Sorensen does we wouldn’t get pushed aside in this games.

I am a fully paid up member of the RTB but I cannot defend this performance or indeed the past week. It would take something truly special to get top 2 from here - playoffs I would say are pretty much sorted but lets be honest nobody would back us to win them.

Agree with all that. Also we may not have been that attractive if a start was unlikely e.g. saying to a forward, midfielder or left back 'join us on loan but you probably won't play much unless there are injuries' is probably not that attractive.

That was shocking from Raya. This collapse is indicative of our mental fragility.
Yes
That was shocking from Raya. This collapse is indicative of our mental fragility.
Has something gone on behind the scenes to make us implode like this?
There’s
Agree that's the problem, but if you read the Janelt interview, he pointed out that with a game every three or four days, there's no chance to work on tactics or shape etc.

Instead it's just Play, Rest, Prepare, Play, Rest, Prepare, Play etc etc etc.
it’s true that
You invest when in a position of strength. We failed to do so. Thinking we can do a game every 3 days with 1 left back and 3 wingers is either extremely arrogant or plain stupid. Chickens coming home to roost.
we are playing the same number of matches as the others.

we’ll feel it without Rico. Hope he and Toney are back soon.We look a spent force.

Regroup, rethink, go again. Which we will do so.

I must admit, I'm not looking forward MBS as left back. We lose the entire attacking side

This is embarrassing we all know what this team can do even when missing players - probably the worst performance for a couple of seasons. Need to be some harsh words said in that changing room and our leaders need to upset a few!!

I am more worried that there seems to be a blueprint circulating on how to beat us and we don’t seem able to change our style.
But if it's taken other teams 20-odd games to come up with a plan to frustrate and overcome us, maybe we cannot reasonably expect Bees to respond in so short a time as two or three games with a Plan B of our own?

Especially with games coming thick and fast every 3 days?

As I said previously, Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford have all had a blip of their own, without it being fatal to their hopes. I can discern no good reason to suggest why BFC cannot also respond accordingly.
