Very frustrating watch. Need to be much stronger in possession. Coventry breezing past us and we are bouncing off in challenges. Canos and Henry trying hard. Jenson and Ghoddos on the periphery. That has to change as without a functioning midfield we cannot expect to score two. Penalty was a blow but we got a similar one against Wycombe so cannot really complain. One thing in our favour is that Coventry are not particularly good in front of goal so we are still in this.

Every team has a poor run in a season of 46 games. Our season depends now on Frank being able to motivate the players and getting the injured players fit. The first team squad of 20 looks a bit thin now.

hot potatoe no one wants to take charge, hence Raya keeps receiving the ball more often than not from.the midfield

It's not sticking up front from long balls, and Coventry are winning most of the second balls from that. Maybe Pressley sooner than later?

Same story against a pressing 3-5-2, difficult to escape them and Mbeumo and Canós totally ineffective with Forss. I guess all we can hope for is for Coventry to tire.

I'm trying to be patient, thinking it's just a sticky patch that will end soon.. but atm it looks like we lost a lot of confidence

So we are a subbing at half time Ghoddos, Roeslev, Jenson, Forss, Mbuemo, Canos. Have A Good missed anyone?

I hope TF has a plan , as we are utter rubbish at the moment. Might just as well not bothered to turn the way we are playing.

Not the best first half.

Jensen the stand out player. Rico and MR are struggling badly. Everything goes over the top of the midfielder’s heads towards Forss who Isn’t suited to this type of game.

Maybe bring on Reid for MR and go 3 at the back with Rico given licence to go forward with Fosu doing the same on the right.

Something needs to change quickly but am sure we will still win this.

7:1 for a comeback victory against Coventry in 2nd half. I see what you are doing there Mr. Benham. I am putting a pretty penny on a win to the Bees

Genuinely puzzled as to what's happened to Marcus Forss. Lost all his pace and cleverness. Maybe he's bulked up thinking to do an 'Ollie Watkins' but it's slowed him down? Looks like he couldn't score if his life depended on it at the moment - hope to eat words in the second half.

Step up the pace and fighting spirit in second half and we will win.

I'm with at @seanrs. All about movement and availability. Every camera shot shows an area of the pitch with more black shirts (excluding ref!) than white. Our players are isolated and under pressure each time they receive the ball. Need to work harder off the ball.

As for the goal, as well as the near second goal, all stemmed from lack of communication between keeper and defence. Two aimless Coventry passes/shots were heading safely to Raya but needlessly touched by Bees defenders.

Roerslev at times is on his own down the right hand side, Bryan just wants to go narrow every time.

Midfield has been physically off it, VJ seems a bit jaded.

Dasilva and Fosu 2nd half please. Forss is struggling, be tempted to give Pressley minutes.

From the last five halves, only one was worth watching, first half v QPR.

Both halves v Barnsley were dire.
Second half v QPR a joke.
First half v Coventry pretty poor.

Need people to step up. Sadly, we’re lacking them in this XI and those before it.

Where's our spirit gone we showed v Boro, Cardiff, Bristol, etc etc?!

Our midfield is the problem. Trouble is our injuries are there. Noorgard, Baptiste and Marcondes if fit would have facilitated more rotation allowing JDS, Janelt greater rest. Maybe JDS and Zamburek for energy to bolster midfield ...

I hope that we make three subs at half time, but I won't hold my breath as Tomas does not usually make changes until an hour has gone by.

No leaders on the pitch...no crowd but cannot hear any Brentford player encouraging or cajoling others ....heads down and look dispirited at times.

One of those games, where TF has to be brave enough to make changes by 55 minutes, unless we score within the next 10 minutes!

He hasn’t started a game for 6 months, pretty obvious really.

Not sure whats happening here but i have every faith that Frank and the team will get this right.

The pentalty is right beacuse ite a foul but its annoying because thats the first time ive seen a lino make the call. If the lino had bottled it like most linos we see then ref wouldnt have called that i dont think so unlucky there but take nothing away from coventry.

Not sure what Ghoddos is doing and why so deep he is resctrited that way.

Bryan again looks low in confidence and always looking at bench and others so belive pressure is on him as it should be but he is strugglins for sure.

We had toney this would be diffrent game we playing same way as with toney but forss is diffrent kind of player and long balls to fight for is not his strong suit.

Lets get forward and get some through balls to him and the wingers.....

Yup, would do it now if it was me.

wjat is going to change for 15 mins other than us running out of time to change it.

You can’t put Presley under that much pressure

Just goes to show that some referees haven’t got a clue why didn’t the ref see that their black clashed with Coventry kit

Piss poor from us ! Too many below par individual performances from players who wouldn’t be out there in a Bees shirt if we weren’t missing so many regulars. I would like to think things would improve second half but it is more in hope than expectation.

Need to start 'bossing' this!.......lack of confidence and 'talking'
No ...C L E A N S H E E T ...again!!! ....(the key to automatics)
Personally, and perhaps some will give me stick.....but I would have DaSilva, Dalsgaard, Reid or Fosu.... ready to come on SOON..

Now - please can we have some intent shown at the start of this half - not like the start of the Barnsley 2nd half last week. I hope Pontus shared his thoughts in the dressing room.

By the sound of things, I'm glad I haven't bothered to watch. Seems to me we've now lost our cohesion, cut and thrust.
