With the increase in covid cases and the return to full capacity at BCS I wondered if anyone has contracted covid that they could
attribute to attending a game at BCS, bearing in mind the closeness in the Stadium and exiting (particularly the stairs accessing
Lionel Road) from the North Stand

I got a ping from the NHS app after the Liverpool game saying I’d been in close proximity to someone who’d tested positive - could only have been that game (possibly the trains there and back) as we’re very careful otherwise. But tested negative repeatedly afterwards so didn’t catch anything.

There have been a couple of anecdotal posts suggesting this, but cant remember which threads they appeared on.

Think one was post-Arse and another post- Scouse. And this could have covered being in a pub, travelling by public transport too etc.

I’ll continue to wear a mask until I reach my safe haven… which I have.

Well if there isn't an increase in the incidence of illness, I will be giving the fluvid conspiracists another look. Furthermore, can anyone get to the ground without, er, travelling? That would be novel.

Currently self isolating having tested positive. Thought I might have contracted it at the Chelsea game but tracking back timescale of symptoms it must have been before then and we had an international break the previous week so not down to the football it seems.

Quite surprised no one reporting symptoms after BCS games given the closeness in the concourses and particularly exit routes,
good news however.

According to the COVID app, I was exposed on the night of a pre season game at Borehamwood or at very quiet local after.

My take is that sitting in the ground itself and fleetingly passing through the concourse offers little exposure. See all the stuff re outdoors vs indoors eg.
The risk, of course, is getting to the ground via (indoor) transport and drinking inside pubs.

Getting a drink before the game was a joke. The bar area was an absolute Covid petri dish.

The really interesting thing was not a single person wore a mask, and consequently I found myself not wearing one as it felt pointless and almost embarrassing. More fool me I know, but I hadn't really though of the subconscious peer pressure element of no-one wearing a mask.
