Football now becomes unimportant.

Fingers crossed for a speedy and full recovery.

Awful news. Best of luck to him. Bournemouth's fate in the PO semi was sealed once they took him off, following Mephams sending off, allowing Sergi to roam free. Good player. Get well soon young man!

I'm an old boy of 62...I'm now 19 months into remission from a vaguely similar lymphoma to this lad.
He's got youth on his side.
Although, the treatment may be very unpleasant, he'll be fit enough to come through it successfully.
As others have said...Football becomes unimportant and we wish him all the best.

A news report said he has stage two Hodgkins Lymphoma. This has a high survival rate and will probably mean a few rounds of chemo with possible radiotherapy. Fortunately he is a young man and, prior to this, must have been extremely fit and healthy so hopefully he will be back playing in time. I wish him the very best.

You can beat this David. I'm sure that football supporters of everywhere will be wishing you success in the fight.

Can't help thinking of ex Liverpool, Everton and Birmingham's Garry Ablett who suffered from the non-Hodgkins version. Didn't survive it sadly although did develop it after retiring from a long and successful playing career.

He was very good against us in the play offs, a terrier, right lively nuisance. The one who ssshhhhhed Sergi in the second leg when they were winning (below). Best of luck to him for a full recovery. Xx

Well if not Billy all these good wishes are wasted unless someone can transfer them to the Bournemouth one.
Just putting our thoughts out there… 🤷‍♂️

I’m sure there are a good number of websites with similar posts. I doubt David will be aware of them all.

If you’re on Twitter, send him your best wishes (and a link to this, if you like) :)

I'm not on anything like that. I think the GPG is my only social media.

Probably not the best picture to pick of him as that particular incident didn't end well for him.

Good luck young man, a very talented player and I am sure we will see you back.

Unfortunately that is the image most Bees fans have of him.

Heres a picture of him celebrating after scoring against Fulham. Lets use that instead.

All the best David for a quick and speedy recovery.

Very same for the RIP posts, even more so in fact, doesn't mean its not right to express the sentiments!

If you want I will do an early one for you since you wont be around to read it when the time comes (assuming I outlive you). Let me know and I will think of some nice things to say about you.
