If Ramsdale is worth £30mill then Raya is worth £40mill.

Top performance.

I'm not sure how long we can keep onto him. His distribution yesterday was top 4 level.

He's a fantastic goalkeeper

Distribution - strong, composed.
Shot-stopping - perfect.
Set pieces - claimed everything he could.

Can see why Arsenal were interested. Leno was the opposite, looked panicky and weak.

His best ever game for the Bees IMO. Fantastic reflex save from Pepe. So assured with the ball at his feet that he always gives an option to the defenders.

Keep it up David 👏

Agree. He was commanding when coming for crosses, caught everything, distributed the ball well and that save near the end, brilliant.

Pity we couldn’t put more pressure on the Palace keeper. He looked really flaky and I almost laughed when he punched Ivan’s mistimed header.Don’t think he actually caught the ball once.

Another top top top performance today. Incredible glove work. Got caught out once today but even so his control of the football and distribution is incredible. Best keeper in the EPL.

Don’t say that yet! We’ve still got to get through January as well.
I’d give some credit to the new GK Coach too. At Borehamwood in pre-season, they were yakking away throughout his warm up, and obviously comfortable together.

It has got me in the past when people have said about his height . Rico can out jump most but is not amongst the tallest. The same applies for keepers. Neither of Gordon Banks or Peter Shilton were 6 ft 8 tall.

great keeper

Hes been brillant this season and really worked on his crosses but hes not proved himself at the levels of Ederson, Allison, Martinez etc yet.

I remember the late Steve Death at Reading as I was at University there and often went to Elm Park. Only 5ft 7in I believe and a very popular and successful goalie there in the 1970s. I think he may even be in their team of the century but can't be bothered to look.

Back in those days the average was shorter, not many 6 ft 5 keepers then, just saying.
Raya playing very well BTW.

What a performance. His save in the first half, his ball to Canos for our second goal and his superb save in injury time. Conceded three but was just exceptional. His best game for Brentford that I have seen.

He was proper peeved after conceding the first, love that... In fairness he hasn't had a lot to do this season so far, but what he has done, he's done brilliantly. So glad we hung onto him.

I honestly think this fella is one of the best in the league he has it all,his distribution is top draw, good decision making and makes some absolutely brilliant point blank saves
Agree, I'd have him over most of the keepers in the league
