A goal kick from Harrow Borough FC
I expect a damp squib. Neither have managed a goal a game this season. A meandering, boring 0 - 0 with neither side having the courage NOT to be relegated. A season or two in League 1 would give them both an immense reality check.
I can often be wrong though....

It might be low on quality but the potential for relegation drama is big. Brighton v Hereford ‘97 is the one that always springs to mind.

I’m conflicted on this. I don’t like Derby due to their financial shenanigans but it’s a good easy game to get to for me.

I have a feeling Rotherham are going to do it and get enough points to stay up rendering this game ( which will probably be a draw) academic in the end as both will go down.

Both clubs are on the list of "big names", together with Forest, that have been completely mis-managed by owners, an interesting contrast with BFC. They seems to think that having exotic head coaches/managers and being able to buy a lot of players is somehow a substitute for having a structure, organisation and culture where no-one is irreplaceable and the majority of fans understand that and are behind their club.

All three have no clear style of play and dreadful squads with few decent players, mainly from their own academies, and need a complete clear-out. Watford seem to be the only club that has made some sort of success with the strategy!

I'd love to see them both go down and plucky Rotherham get another season in the Championship – their fans deserve it.

100 per cent agree. They are both rotting corpses.

Normally, I always want the clubs that consist of more travelling to get relegated. Keep it as local as possible.

I consider derby as a decent journey.

But the way the way they’ve spent wildly for years for failure, flaunted the ffp rules, their entitled attitude, the nobness of some of their fans, the drum at their place, and the damaging false accusations they made against a sound Bees fan I hope they go down and go tits up. They deserve it.
I will have Rotherham over them any day.

Much the same with Wednesday really, they tick a lot the reasons I want derby to go down so I’ll keep Rotherham over them too.

Slightly of topic, but have two teams from the same city ever been relegated in the same season, all be it from different divisions? I would imagine that it has happened in London, where there any many league clubs, but in cities like Sheffield, Bristol etc. I can't ever recall it happening.

Ah, Forest and their cast of thousands. They must pay an awful lot of players not to play for them.
Yep. Another easy trip, good day out etc. Would happily see take the drop down they deserve.

While at it, its a shame there isnt a 5th & 6th spot for brum & ra ras.

Ive gone from wanting a pretty local league to very non local

They sort of both deserve to get relegated.

Rotherham aren’t good enough for this level but they are run within their means and their team leave everything out on the pitch.

These two bigger clubs are the opposite, they have tried to cheat the financial rules for years, and their teams, whilst relatively talented compared to those around them in the table, hardly look motivated enough to run out onto the pitch for kickoff.

Rotherham , on merit, do deserve to be here then,

Sadly I fear Rotheram are hapless which will let one of the two giants off the hook. Would love to be wrong. Remember Rotherham came up from League One with us (and were a good team). Our paths have diverged since then. Our expectations are now quite different. Makes you appreciate the progress we have made as a club.

Did the double over us in our 2013/14 promotion season.

Rotherham screwed themselves over sadly by badly mismanaging the whole COVID thing. They've been left with an impossible run of games at the death as a result..

Rotherham must win to stay up (and hope Derby don't)
Sheffield Weds must win to stay up (and hope Rotherham don't)
Derby can draw and stay up (maybe)

Sheff Wednesday have got to win about 10-0 haven't they? 3 points behind Derby but with a 19 goal deficit. Rotherham and Sheff Wed wins sees Derby, Sheff Wed relegated barring the above.

No, Sheff Weds goal difference is only one worse than Derby’s so any win will do for them to finish above WRDC

Interesting. The Sky Sports Scores android app has Derby on goal difference of -2. Main website has them at -22. Damn you Murdoch. 😡
Yes, it’s Wycombe who would need an implausible GD turnaround to stay up.

The two Bristol clubs were relegated to the third division in 80-81.

On the flip side they were both promoted from the third division in 89-90.

Be careful what you wish for - if we win the play-offs - I would wager there's a high probability we will be well into a relegation scrap come Christmastime !!

Yes.
Both Bristol clubs from Division 2 in 1980/1.
