Was chatting to a fellow fan yesterday and he was telling me that Brentford have a few issues with their new build.

The Stadium original capacity has had to be reduced to 17k as the original 20K+ plan the site was not big enough to fit.

He was also saying that the current site allows for a pitch that is smaller than regulations and that the capacity may be reduced to c.12k.

The original architect apparently made a total balls up even after all approved?

Anyone know any more on this? .........went on qpr forum and have found this statement ....got to be a load of sh*t surely

It looks like an unfinished roof to me ... I think we can probably reserve judgment until its finished, its not like many of us are ever going to see it from this angle unless we are frequent flyers. I believe its going to have a load of solar panels on the west end of it and the rest I assume will be plastered in advertising for the benefit of the frequent flyers

It’s very odd that two posters have now come on here, on the same day, questioning the pitch size and if it fits.

Next you’ll be getting posters questioning why isn’t the north stand built yet? The other three are up. Does it fit? Incredible.

Can't we just bolt some seats to the Sega offices and call that the North Stand? Gives plenty of room to move the pitch north across the rail tracks (ref can just call a drinks break when trains are scheduled to run through). You don't want to think outside the box Brentford

Looking at the North East corner it seems like the temporary access road is no more, are they now bringing in new material via the pitch access tunnel. They must be cracking on with getting the bridge up and running at the pointy bit on the East end?

I've posted on many occasions that the layout means each stand has an almost unique approach to each stand's turnstiles, with no two stands having the same appearance and no two stands having the same surroundings (although there's no escaping railway lines). This means that each can develop its own character with the fans inside.

I can't imagine thats the case, but if it is the architect better have some very good PI insurance.
