I notice that Richie Burnett (ex BDO World champion) has been banned for 18 months, due to cocaine being found in a drugs test.

What made me laugh was this quote from someone at anti-doping:

"All athletes adhere to the principle of strict liability. No matter what the circumstances, they are solely responsible for any prohibited substance found in their system," said Ukad legal director Graham Arthur.

"This can be challenging for athletes, as the onus falls to them to prove how, and why, their sample tested positive, and to show there was no significant fault."

I know the "Is Darts a sport?" argument is as old as the hills, but I've never heard a darts player described as an 'athlete' before!

Back in the day any darts player worth their salt would hold a crafty toot or so to 'Balance' the amount of ale they'd put away.

Drugs in darts.
Brilliant idea.
Or maybe junkie darts: throwing syringes at a darts board.
