Im really not sure i can be bothered. I don't think the people who run Brentford nowadays are trying that hard to be nice to us run of the mill fans.. The funs gone out of it a bit to be honest. The dugout at least has a bit of a clubhouse feel to it but s107 is just a sterile lowest common denonimator franchise concrete bunker. They've not even given us shelves to put a drink on ffs.

My dad is in a wheelchair and we have got in the habit of popping in to the dugout after the game for 20 minutes or so to let the crowd disperse to make it easier to push. . Its not been any issue going through the door until today and all we do is buy a few drinks and fill up a bit of space for a short time.

I appreciate we dont pay for dugout tickets and they are 'Just doing their job', but it just stuck in my craw for some reason. Probably just the arbitrary and petty nature of the change of rules and the bad attitude of the stewards at the door.

My dad has been coming to watch Brentford since 1948 and my brother and I since 1969 so we've dealt with a lot of sh*t over the years but this has bothered me. I wonder about the 'club' bit of bfc. Thats what keeps you coming back.

Vent over. Thank you for taking the time to read it but the main point is I feel better for writing it.

The other issue is crowds around the entrance to dug out bar whilst the crowd coming up from seats are trying to disperse.

From my STH friend who was held at the door for 10 mins: Apparently the POSHers complained that they weren’t getting served quickly enough post-game when the hoipolloi are permitted access.
They've got their own loungues!

Whoever gets to use the dug out pre-match, perhaps not POSHers then. Anyway, that’s where the complaint came from, so they are given 10 mins post match - according to whoever was holding people at the door.

There's no massive queue for beer post-match, so surprised that some have felt the need to complain. Just stay out of the samosa queue!

Some of you need to lighten up who’s ever heard of posters in the dug out bar ?. So yes there are problems with the entry service and poor lager and pre served pints and staffing .so why don’t the club fans rep the catering company and fans have a open meeting in the dug out bar and put all the points to be sorted out . I would love to attend myself as it’s been one of loves having a stripes bees inn supporters bar.

Surely there is a really important principle here. ST holders were sold their tickets, being informed that this would include post match access to Dugout Bar. Not Restricted Access to Dugout Bar. I get that entry needs to be delayed if safe capacity is exceeded, but not to restrict entry simply to prioritise one set of ST holders over another. (Slightly) tongue in cheek, could this lead to a class action by 9,000 general area STHs against the club !?

I went in there for the first time yesterday, had a pint and shared a tray of samosas with family. By the time we walked slowly around from the West Stand the queue took less than a minute to navigate.

Family said there was a longer queue after the Norwich game but it moved quickly - I think once they'd stopped holding the queue - they possibly hold it until those leaving the dugout seats at FT have actually left the area?

Probably less hassle than trying to buy a round in the Express at that time after a match (having done that a few times this season, too). I will be back.

Are you a BIAS member? If so you would've had an opportunity to meet with the caterers tomorrow.

I’ve only been in once, after the Arsenal game and the stewards said the only reason for holding people outside was to ensure dugout ticket holders could get out first safely (ie without people trying to go up the stairs while others were leaving en masse). Apparently there is another set of stairs that could be used but it’d need to be set up as a process and assessed for safety. Not sure about the layout and whether that’s in the club’s plans. But apart from ensuring disabled supporters don’t have to hang around inappropriately maybe the short queues now mean there’s not a need to reorganise. Otherwise I don’t think holding non-dugout fans outside for a few minutes to let dugout fans get out is a real imposition.

If not can I represent the other fans who are not in bias either as a independent rep so they also have a voice please
You know the I in BIAS is for Independent being a founder member. So now you want to be independent of the independent organisation that you helped set-up. The "Independent Supporters from Independent Supporters" ?

I’m going to form AIBS: the association of independent Brentford supporters (affiliated with the Judea Popular Front and the I refuse to queue tendancy). Can I come, too?

Already on the list, I can't attend as COVID has stolen my sense of taste and smell. Which may be blessing with regards to the catering.

There was only space for 15 people, and the invites were issued by the club. I passed them about 35 names over for those who wanted to attend.

Perhaps we should have a band playing like LI do after their games. Whatever happened to the singing entertainment we had a few years back in the Hive ?
Would probably only work for the odd occasion when there isn't a live game on the TV screens after ours (like Chelsea v Man Utd yesterday).

Ok calmed down a bit now. Just the pettiness of it all got me riled and no restrictions werent mentioned when we bought the ST (i'm all for a class action. I'll get my mate Chabuddy G to sort out a decent lawyer)

Club emailed me a customer experience survey so I just cut and paste what I wrote here. Also wrote

The onfield football and seats are all good. The off-field peripherals are way way below my expectations for when we left Griffin Park It may just be S107 but its very unwelcoming as a place to spend any time. Could be a bus station waiting room for all the comfort it has. At least there would be a shelf to put your drink on in a waiting room. Also how would you know this is brentford fcs home ground? No pictures, no history, no memerobilia

Went in after the game…only 5 min wait to get in and hardly a queue at the bar either….it’s ok for a couple after in winter but no windows and a nucleur bunker feel to it won’t win it any awards👀😁

It couldn’t believe how crap amd underwhelming it was. I’m really gutted for those who have paid for the Dugout. I was expecting a proper bar, not a dingy concourse with a few tables. It’s a good size space that’s the only positive. Hopefully they can fit it out properly in the summer?

Those of us who have paid for the Dug Out are happy enough with it, amazing that those of you who haven’t seem to have a problem with it😀😀😂. Don’t like it, don’t visit again and cause the queues that other non Dug Out members seem to be moaning about

I dont know about doing any more about contacting the club. It is what it is. I doubt very much the club will make significant changes now. After all they designed the place so they must have intended what weve got.

Its just that after 30 years standing in all weathers in the Braemar Road forecourt I expected the general amenities at the new place to be better than they are. In the forecourt you could have a plate of chips, a gammon roll, a burger or the usual pukkas, cokes chocolates, crisps etc, a reasonable pint, a decent coffee or hot chocolate - even a crepe! Also you got a bit of pre-game atmosphere to get in the mood.

We get in early due to Dad and its just a concrete waiting room with some sh*t beer and dried meh food and a bit of sky tv with no sound to keep you amused.
We've undoubtably gained on the headline stuff by the move and I keep my hair dry and the toilets are good, but we just seem to have lost a bit of what made it a proper day out in the past. And it doesn't help the stewards treat you like youre a bad smell thats just wafted in front of their nose.

As you can tell I'm missing GP and part of it is just getting used to the new way of doing things. Definitely not going to hang around before and after the games anymore though. In and out just for the match.

Railway closed at 4.45, they actively promoted the Dugout as the only place to watch the Chelsea - Man Utd match after our game, I was even given a leaflet to pre order drinks (like the theatre!). Perhaps this caused higher congestion?
