Actually they did TTB.
I seem to remember it being the game where Paul Priddy saved two penalties and we won 1-nil with Andy Mc scoring (who else ).
Can anyone confirm ?
Seem to remember that we didn't rise to their bait and different sections of Watford fans ended up fighting amongst themselves.
On the Monday I was driving through Hayes and was hit from behind, he admitted it was his fault and gave me his details written on a ticket stub from the game, he was a Watford fan (b*st*rd).

Wasn't there a cage that led from the station that was behind the goal?

Was that the game when we were at the front of The Rookery? That was worrying. And did anyone make pancakes?

Been to Vicarage road numerous times but the only time I stood in the Rookery was when a pen was given against pitbull which eventually relegated us in 92/3. Don't remember any trouble or eggs unlike the the Paul Priddy saved two pens game when it got a bit frisky sitting in the main (crappy old thing) stand.

I was sat in that stand for the 1-1 game in our promotion season in 1978, watching the fun and games in the stand to the right which was split in half between home and away fans, by a bit of tape I believe.

At Vicarage road in that era they had some sticky stuff painted onto the floodlight pylons to stop anybody climbing them. I remember one Bee not realising this and getting coated in a sort of red mastic. That was at the League Cup 1st leg game which opened the 78/9 season. Bit lively it was, no eggs but a few bottles.
