Yes indeed. Goalkeepers should be perfect from the day they pull-on the green jersey aged 11. Hence why so many PL keepers are aged U14.That may be, but he is extremely error prone which is not a good thing for a goalkeeper.![]()

Shepperd is leaving for Dundee according to rumoursWe'll be able to put a team of keepers out soon, Raya, Fernandez, Lossl, Gunnarsson, Balcombe, Shepherd, Winterbottom. Any others?
What a waste of time that has been. So much in the hands of chance. He needed a run of games and to end up at a club where the other keeper is clearly worse / ill / injured or whatever. Sure the folks at the top believed he would get game time but he hasn't. Half a season wasted which at his age is a big big loss. It seems increasingly apparent that he is surplus to requirements at BCS and he really needed to be in a shop window to prove he can become a senior FL keeper somewhere. What a shame...Been recalled from his loan
I agree to an extent but they aren't going to play him unless they think he's better than the other options and they obviously don't which is a concern at this stage in his career.Must be very undermining for him, pointless loan where he plays only in the cup. Surely Burton would assure us he would get League game time? Would be better for him to be sent to a League 2 team and get a full 90 every week and get his confidence up, or a League 1 team if they can promise him time between the sticks
He didn’t play a single game outside the Papa John’s Trophy. He joined them in July and spent their first 6 league games on the bench before he even played a cup game.Let’s not get too up ourselves. He went there because Burton had an ex-Brentford goalkeeping coach.
No one gets a guarantee of game time. He has to perform and from what I have heard EB didn’t.
You can’t blame Burton for not playing him when they have someone who’s patently better.
I would think he would be one of the better, if not the best keeper in L2 and a decent keeper in L1. He had a few very good games with Donny last season, especially in that FA Cup where he saved 2 penalties. I would have thought there would be 1 or 2 in League 1 that would want him, but whether he performs or not is a different matter, his confidence must be shot, feel sorry for the guy reallyI agree to an extent but they aren't going to play him unless they think he's better than the other options and they obviously don't which is a concern at this stage in his career.

He got overtaken for a while by Louis Jones at Donny, only for a few games as I think they wanted to get Jones minutes, he is a very good keeper and I believe is seen as a very big prospect at Donny, but yes he wasn't first choice all seasonDidn't he also get overtaken by both the Boreham Wood and Doncaster keepers during his loans there as well?
Have not seen enough of his game to comment on strengths/weaknesses but clearly needs minutes

Rees.
He returned.
Isn't he already on loan at Burton?
Sell!I'd even sell him. He's not going to get breakthrough here and doesn't fit our style of play. Hasn't had great loan moves
Agreed, seem to be loads ahead of him now anyway.I'd even sell him. He's not going to get breakthrough here and doesn't fit our style of play. Hasn't had great loan moves
I agree, think he has it in him to go further than he has, not sure if he will ever become good enough to challenge for our #1 but I think he still has a good potentialSell!

..........now you're being facetious................I am afraid that I was being factious! I have not seen him play for years, however, I doubt that he is 'Sellable' potential or not.
Three years on his contract left so we’re stuck.Isn’t it about time we stick or twist with this lad. Succession of ropey loans now.
WOW!! and err HOW!!? Nowhere he goes sees much in him and yet we have...consistently, he’s been here nearly a decade and has made 1 appearance in a squad.Three years on his contract left so we’re stuck.
I found it a strange decision at the time.WOW!! and err HOW!!? Nowhere he goes sees much in him and yet we have...consistently, he’s been here nearly a decade and has made 1 appearance in a squad.

Not done that good a job with his sonWell their manager is Andy Woodman who was a goalkeeper so may bring out the best (or worst) in him.
It’s been quite a few more times than that, I reckon,he’s been here nearly a decade and has made 1 appearance in a squad.
Wiki (maybe out of date) only had the 2-0 Fulham loss as Bonham was out with whiplashIt’s been quite a few more times than that, I reckon,
Let’s hope we can find somewhere he can actually play
No way, Balcombe should easily be better than a national league keeperKeeper Reice Charles-Cook has left Bromley.
Mark Cousins has been their regular 1st team keeper this season so would appear that Balcombe is back up.
