This is turning into a brilliant transfer window. All of our foreign signings have joined from their respective top division!

Excited to see Marcondes play in the new year, if not before.

The club have clearly decided that our midfield riches means we can wait to get him for nothing.

Seems like a good decision with one eye on outgoing players in January

Surprised this has been released so soon. As a fan I wouldn't be pleased having a player playing knowing he's already agreed to join a new club in a few months time. Maybe it's abit over sensitive but hey ho! Welcome !

Happens all the time now.
Didn't Beckham do the same when he went to LA?

I think it happens quite a lot...we're just not used to it as we sell or extend with a year to go to avoid this! Also most players in England stay in England where you're not allowed officially to do this.

But yes, welcome! Planning for the future whatever happens. We have very long term aims in mind with our recruitment!

We certainly have an embarrassment of riches upfront after what seemed like ages getting by on one forward...I guess staying put and playing week in week out means he joins us fit and ready to go immediately.

Great to already have a new signing confirmed for January. Looks a very talented player as well.

He'll stop playing end of November or early December for their winter break won't he? Guess he'll effectively join us then.

I think this is a very good signing for the future. Top work by those in charge. My word this squad is really taking shape.

Good interview with him, he's a really positive guy. He turned down an offer form a club ( not stated) who are in this years Europa league to come to us !!....also mention Thomas Frank who it appears is very influential in our recent signings....

Proper number ten.

I reckons we see an ageing, injured Judge as unlikely to regain his form - so this guy's coming in as a long term replacement.

I think perhaps we see Sawyers in a deeper role now than we did when we first signed him... so with Kersch going we needed someone new to play behind the striker. I know Watkins can do it but I reckon we've got bigger plans for him as a number 9.

Ted Knutson is not having this kid apparently, no mention of why though but rates the other new guys. Fairly low risk though in my eyes as no fee (assuming we do wait until January to bring him in) & Frank has seen enough to think we can work on him.

Given Ted's biggest contribution was getting us to sign Kerschbaumer, you need to take some of his comments at face value. That's not to say he doesn't know his stuff, but I certainly wouldn't rank his opinion any higher than anyone else just because he has a Twitter mouthpiece...

indeed - he's very "open" (American), but he has a higher opinion of himself than most others do, i'd say. he regularly seems exasperated that he's not being picked up for consultancy work by clubs higher up.... maybe one day the penny will drop :)

tad harsh - he gets loads of questions from Bees fans, and does a good job of "promoting" us to his 26k followers :)

I'm sure if he said he loved Marcondes we'd all be taking his opinion very seriously indeed :D

I'm sure he was a fan of Gogia, Hoffmann, Djuricin, Ryan Williams, Kerschbaumer and in part responsible for us signing them. So we can all take his opinion with a pinch of salt.

Is also a big fan of, and played a role in getting, Barbet, Vibe Bently, Egan and Henry (his team started the work on the final 3 before the change up I believe) seems a little harsh in just pointing out the ones that didn't work out as hoped.

And Woods, and McEachran, and Colin. They didn't do too badly.

Just reflecting the balance that his opinion isn't golden and he's got it wrong in the past.

I'm no major fan of his tbh and he's been a touch gobby since he's left but Ryan Williams was brought in by the then set piece coach for training purposes only.

Williams wasn't a TK idea. Williams came because of the free kick specialist Brentford took onboard. They both worked together previously and Ryan was used on his video of free kicks.

**Edit - just seen Mr Know it All posted a minute before me.

Fair enough. And I would agree with the first part of what you said too. We seem to be managing okay finding talented players without him in the set-up

Can anyone else corroborate that TK was involved in getting these players in or do we just have to take his word for it?

Worth pointing out that he was broadly complimentary about our business this summer, particularly Maupay and Watkins.
