I am not sure this was the highest ever T20 run chase by England. I seem to remember they have chased over 200 before and one time certainly against South Africa in the World Cup year that was won by WI.

I should say Malan is a great find for England but has been performing remarkably well in the T20 format for quite a while now. Really is impressive and one can tell why he is the number 1 ranked T20 batsman.

I think your boys on home soil will provide the main competition - watched virtually all of the IPL and India have some serious young talent coming through in T20 format.
